Hubert Honigl wins Rd1 Austrian Nats

Xray are reporting on their site from the first round of the Austrian nationals held last weekend at MRC Eruhwirth. The event catered for both the expert and sport class with the expert class being dominated by NT1 driver Manuel Huber until a problem dropped him back to 2nd gifting Mugen driver Hubert Honigl the win, with Serpent driver Christian Scheidl in 3rd. Robert Pietsch dominates Rd1 German Region South Series

…was able to work his way back up to 1st to win by 2 laps at the flag. Andreas Hammerl finished 2nd with Serpent racer Michael Eisele in 3rd. In the 1/10th scale class it was Thomas Günsel, driving the Xray NT1, that took the pole spot from team mates Robert Pietsch and Dirk Wischnewski, who qualified 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the race it was Robert Pietsch that could take the win after pole man Günsel ran into troubles which also allowed Wischnewski move up into 2nd at the end with Christoph Pietsch claiming the final podium spot in…

Jilles Groskamp wins Rd1 of Dutch 200mm Nationals

…closing and eventually take the lead, only to have to pit suffering from problems to his right rear rim on a track that was causing huge tire wear. Spanish EFRA GP – Rain interrupts play

This weekends EFRA Spanish GP, being held at the ARCA track in Madrid, has been heavily disrupted by rain and low temperatures. The event, which was being treated as a warm up race for this summers European 1/10th 200mm Championships, is being attended by most of the top teams in Europe with some very serious competition entered. Despite the wet weather and 8 degree temperatures today, qualifying was run and it was topped by local driver Victor Pelaez driving a Team Magic G4S, 2nd position going to Serpent racer Rafael Ortiz with Swedish NT1 racer Niklas Hakansson in 3rd, reigning…

SMI announce German NT1 Team

SMI, the German importers of Xray cars, has announced on their site the 11 strong team that will contest the German Nationals driving the Slovakian manufacturers new 200mm chassis, the NT1. For the southern region they have Alexander Stocker, Thomas Günsel, Michael Heinrich and Robert Pietsch, the latter if you recall is the designer of the Shepherd Velox 07. XRAY Column – Developing and Designing the NT1 Part II

Following on from last months column by Juraj Hudy, comes the second part of this great insight into the development of Xrays new gas touring car, the NT1.
