2019/20 XRS PLMS Poland – Announcement

Xray have announced the XRS PLMS Poland series for the 2019/20 indoor season. Kicking off on the 12th of October and having their final round on the 21rd of March, the series will be held in Touring Modified, Touring 13.5T Stock as well as Formula 21.5T classes using Hudy tyres, additives and also XRS motors for the Stock classes. CS Electronic Rocket V5.1 220A brushless ESC

CS Electronic from Germany have introduced their new Rocket V5.1 220A speed controller for 1/10th scale applications. Developed especially for competitive on-road and off-road racing, the V5.1 offers very smooth throttle control, reliability, performance and lots of safety features. New FETs allow for up to 220A of peak current while the new, smaller case improving heat dissipation while taking less space in crowded chassis environments. The new V5.4.1 firmware ensures best possible throttle and brake control and it offers both modified and blinky stock racing modes. Other features include 3rd-channel compatibility with certain Sanwa and Futaba transmitters and the controller is usable with both sensored and sensorless motors.

2019 BRCA GT12 Nationals Rd1 & Rd2 – Report

The opening round of the 2019/20 BRCA GT12 national championship was held in the south of England where the ever fantastic Eastbourne club played host to the great start of the new series. Round 1 would be held on Saturday and it was Schumacher’s Andy Murray with the overall TQ from his teammates Mark Jewitt and Nathanael Goodban, all running the new Schumacher Atom 2 car.

2019 EWS International – Announcement

The Essex Winter Series team announce the details of their 2019 EWS International event. The event will take place over the weekend of the 6th to 8th of December 2019, at their indoor facility in the South-East of the UK, just outside London. Following the success of the event in previous years, the format will remain largely the same, with classes for Modified and Super Stock 13.5 Blinky Touring, using Volante tyres, and this year a Front Wheel Drive class, with hand-out 17.5T motors and ETS-spec Ride tyres. To highlight the quality of the event, many drivers from across Europe have already confirmed they will return to the race, including Yannic Prumper, Ronald Volker, Max Machler, Christian Donath, Christopher Krapp, and more. Entries are limited to 140 to allow for a reasonable finish time each day, and are now open. Full rules and a link to the entry page can be found on the EWS website here. R246 MR-03 RML aluminium motor mount

Coming from Kyosho’s R246 brand is the RML aluminium motor mount for the MR-03 Mini-Z chassis. The motor mount lays the motor flat for an overall lower centre of gravity and thus higher corner speed especially in higher grip conditions. The motor mount is machined from high-quality aluminium, it comes blue anodised and with a machine carbon fibre upper brace. Also included is the needed mounting hardware.

IGT8 Euro Truck RTR set

IGT8 have launched their first ready-to-run product in the form of an 1/8th scale GT on-road chassis with Euro Truck body shell. The car is a fully upgradable, less exotic version of the successful IGT8 GTe featuring a 2100kV brushless motor with a dual 2S battery setup rounded up with quality radio equipment. The shape of the body is the perfect to showcase the car in shopping centers, malls, etc. and in order to attract the attention of new hobbyist, which is the focus that IGT8 had for this project.

Novarossi Mephisto.21 GT5 nitro on-road engine

Novarossi have introduced their all-new Mephisto.21 GT5 engine for 1/8th scale nitro GT classes. The 5-port extra long stroke nitro engine features an updated DLC-coated crankshaft for improved durability, a new head design for optimised cooling underneath the GT body shells and it offers a high torque thanks to its extra long stroke design. Other features include a R4/18 lightweight conrod, Tungsten crankshaft balancing, and a specially machined crankcase drainage for better exhaust gas flow. The engine is available as standard steel bearing or ceramic ball-raced version.

Shepherd Velox V8 series upright inserts

Available now from Shepherd are new composite upright inserts for the Velox V8 and V8.2 1/8th on-road cars. The inserts are coming in eccentric and centred variants to have the additional possibility to use smaller ball bearings for significant weight-saving reasons. Compared to the previous aluminium inserts, these composite option parts are characterised by an optimised fit, a lower weight and a better durability. They are available as a set of four centric and four eccentric inserts or as a set including eight 12x18x4mm ball bearings.
