JConcepts foam adhesive body washers

Coming from JConcepts is a 12-piece set of foam washers for 1/10th scale body shells. They help protecting the area where initial damage starts to occur which is right around the body mount holes. The die-cut foam donut is adhesive backed to attach itself to the body and the foam cushions the landings from there. The soft but high-impact material allows some flexibility between the body and the setting distance to the mount protecting the paint from the inside out.

Craig Collinson wins at Schumacher Master Series Rd6

Last weekend was the sixth round of the ever popular Schumacher Masters Series held at Worksop Raceway. With over 150 entries the competition was as tough as always. Xray’s Craig Collinson started the day with intent taking 4WD TQ in round 1 of qualifying, ahead of world class driver Neil Cragg (Team Associated). The next three qualifying rounds would see Neil top round 2 with Craig 2nd, Craig top round 3 with fellow team mate Dom Nunn 2nd and in round 4 Dom put in a storming run to take the round ahead of Craig. This meant Craig would take overall TQ with Xray driver Dom Nunn 2nd and in the 3rd spot would be Neil Cragg. In the final Craig got off to a clean start with Dom and Neil in hot pursuit. Unfortunately Dom made an early error allowing Neil to take the 2nd spot and young Schumacher driver Josh Holdsworth 3rd. Craig drove a faultless five minute final keeping his buggy on the racing line at all times, not allowing an opportunity for Josh or Neil to make a pass. In the end Craig took the win just in front of Josh and Neil.

Redcat Racing have introduced the new Gen8 P-A-C-K pre-assembled chassis kit for those who want to run the Gen8 chassis with their own choice of electronics, wheels, tires, and body. The Gen8 PACK already includes many of the features custom builders look for, and is ready to be transformed into a high performance, one of a kind, custom rig. The Gen8 PACK uses the same chassis as the Gen8 International Scout II RTR vehicle and it also shares the same stock chassis components such as C-channel frame rails, low centre of gravity battery tray, centrally mounted divorced transfer case, lockable slipper clutch, portal axles with metal gear covers, MOD-1 gears, machined aluminium spools, front CVAs, 32 rubber-sealed ball bearings, threaded aluminium shocks, 47 degree steering blocks with proper Ackerman, Panhard bar, LED-ready bumpers, winch-ready front bumper, and frame mounted floor pans. Redcat Gen7 portal axle kit

German Redcat distributor Absima has introduced a new Gen7 portal axle kit. The set is designed for the Everest Gen7 and features the same portal axles that are installed in the Redcat Gen8 Scout II scale crawler, but includes all the parts needed to easily install portal axles on the Gen7 Sport or Pro vehicles. This kit includes the front and rear portal axle, along with a moulded plastic plate so owners can mount the servo to the Gen7 chassis. The axles utilise Mod 1 steel gears, metal hex hubs and metal gear covers for durability as well as a CNC machined aluminium spool. The kit also includes a slipper clutch upgrade, with gearing change, intended for the Everest Gen7. Because of the additional gear reduction present in the portal axles, without a gearing change, the Everest Gen7’s top speed will be reduced by about 50 percent. This slipper clutch system features a lockout system, for those who decide they don’t want the possibility of their drivetrain slipping, but still want the gearing change.
