At the final round of this season’s BRCA 1:12 national championship a win for Olly Jefferies saw the Associated team driver take the stock title, he adds this to the modified crown he secured at the previous round. Chris Kerswell came from 5th on the grid to finish 2nd for Serpent/LRP ahead of Spashett, while Olly could only manage 4th place following another error whilst trying to regain the lead from Andy on the penultimate lap. In modified on Sunday, Mark Stiles made some alterations to the setup of his LRP powered Serpent car for the morning practice session after struggling to find pace on the previous day. Round two of the European Pan Series visited Ardent Raceway in the UK. The entry was a little down on numbers possibly due to the pre Christmas date, but a strong field of top UK 1:12 drivers turned out including multiple World and European champion Dave Spashett, former European stock 1:12 champion Chris Kerswell and current UK national front runner Olly Jefferies. Contact tyres have introduced a new range of pre-glued 1/12th scale tires suitable for 1/12th circuit cars. Serpent driver Mark Stiles took the win in the stock class at Round 2 of the BRCA 1/12 scale Nationals last weekend. Mark qualified in 3rd place with behind Olly Jefferies and 3-time world champion David Spashett with Chris Kerswell taking the fourth place in the A final starting grid. In the final, Olly got away cleanly ahead of Dave, with Chris passing Mark for 3rd in the opening laps. Matt White took TQ ahead of Associated’s Olly Jefferies and Hot Bodies driver Tom Watts, Matt went on to take the win ahead of the Serpent of Chris Kerswell who started fifth with Olly Jefferies completing the podium. In the 10.5 class Ayrton Anderson capped a perfect season for the Hot Bodies driver taking the win and TQ at the final round with James Hart’s Schumacher next up, Andy Murray completed a difficult season with an excellent third for Associated. The fourth round of this seasons BRCA touring car series saw the 2011 title decided with one round to go, both classes going to Hot Bodies drivers in the form of Andy Moore in Super Touring and Ayrton Anderson in the 10.5 stock class. Elliott Harper took TQ with his Tamiya in Super Touring but it was a hard charging Andy Moore that came through from fourth on the grid to take the win ahead of Schumacher’s Chris Grainger and Elliott Harper, Olly Jefferies and Chris Kerswell completed the top five for Associated and Serpent.
