RPM Arrma 4×4 3S BLX lower suspension arms

Coming from RPM and made for Arrma’s Granite, Senton and Big Rock 4×4 3S BLX trucks are new front and rear lower suspension arms. The wishbones allow for added adjustability thanks to a second shock mount positions, they are more durable than the stock parts due to being moulded from RPM’s renown nylon composite material and they are also lighter, ensuring improved performance. The arms are available as pair for the front or the rear of the trucks and they fit the Arrma Granite 4×4, Senton 4×4 and Big Rock 4×4, replacing the original AR330443 front and AR330516 rear arms.

Reedy Wolfpack Shorty LiPo battery packs

Coming from Reedy are their new Shorty-type hardcase LiPo battery packs with pre-soldered T-plug. The unique battery is perfectly suited for trail trucks, crawlers, and a variety of vehicle types that utilise a shorty battery configuration. Wires exit the case through a rubber gasket, which protects the wire’s insulation while helping to prevent moisture from entering the case. High quality cell manufacturing and construction techniques result in reliable operation and maximum cycle life. Reedy’s Wolfpack LiPo batteries come equipped with beefy silicone wires and a reliable, low-resistance T-plug connector. An integrated balance lead with XH connector is included. The battery is available in 2S 3000mAh (95.7×46.8×24.7mm/158g) and 3S 3000mAh (95.7×46.8×24.7mm/217g)specification.

Graupner O.S. Speed B2103 S Special Edition engine

Coming soon from German O.S. Engines distributor Graupner is the O.S. Speed B2103 S Special Edition engine. The .21 off-road power plant comes with a standard cooling head for improved heat dissipation, allowing to safely run the engine with a leaner carburettor setting which in turn further improves mileage. In addition and when run in higher ambient temperatures, the engine is easier to adjust and offers a more reliable performance.

Xray XT2 lightweight body & extra strong rear wings

Xray have introduced their new lightweight body shell for the XT2 stadium truck as well as extra strong rear wings for the same body. Starting with the lid, it is moulded from 0.75mm polycarbonate material for a low weight and thus a lower overall centre of gravity. Using the lightweight body will reduce body roll in high-grip track conditions for a more predictable handling and faster lap times. The body is usable with all of the truck’s possible rear shock layouts and it comes including window masks.

HRC Racing Perfect Scaler 80T brushed motor

Coming from HRC Racing is the Perfect Scaler 80T brushed motor for crawlers and trail trucks. Its 80T specification allows for ultra slow movement and ultra fine throttle control, helping to tackle tricky sections with ease. The motor is of the standard 540 size and compatible with most 1/10th scale models. Highly efficient ceramic magnets and low resistance copper wires are standard as are slotted heatsinks for the replaceable brushes. The rebuildable motor comes including pre-soldered wires and Tamiya-style bullet-type connectors.

Mibosport Cup Rd5 – Report

Last weekend’s round 5 of the 2018/19 Mibosport Cup not only saw the running of several electric off-road classes but also attracted a bunch of on-road racers to come out and compete. The record entry meant controlled practice had to cut short to allow for a reasonable ending of the day. Following the free and controlled practice on Friday things got serious on Saturday. In the Touring Modified class full things went up and down for the drivers with the challenging track layout meaning things mixed up quite a bit throughout the day. However, the top of the field remained the same as Zdenko Kunak secured the TQ position and brought home a deserved win. Oliver Havranek managed to stay in Zdenko’s slipstream to finish 2nd. Right behind him it was Jakub Rozycki from a storming Andreas Stiebler and Matej Sulc.

2019 Keilor Invitational Race – Report

The 2019 Keilor Invitational Race was held in Melbourne, Australia last weekend. Australia’s outdoor version of the Reedy Race, the Keilor Invitational, has been held since 2014 with the top 10 1/10 Off-Road Modified and Stock racers from around the country racing head to head against each other over five rounds of 2WD and five rounds of 4WD for the overall Invitational title. In addition to the Invite classes, Open classes are offered with the winners receiving automatic invite to the following years event, and a junior 2WD class is also offered for the stars of tomorrow. The 2019 event had hot summer weather throughout the event, resulting in a naturally grooved track. The layout for this event was fast and flowing, with a huge tabletop to quad jump that required timing to navigate and proved decisive in the race results. Around 160 entries were received in total, with racers travelling from all around the country.

Martin Bayer takes double Mibosport Cup title

The grand final of the 2018/19 Mibosport Cup was held in Hrotovice last weekend with a record entry of 270 drivers. The race was special in that way, that double points were given, meaning overall standing could change a lot. The race was held in the usual electric on-road and off-road classes and in the buggy categories it was Hupo Hönigl who dominated the 2WD practice rounds while Martin Bayer was fastest in 4WD. After the qualifiers however it was Martin on top in both classes followed by Ales Bidovsky and Hupo in 2nd and 3rd in 2WD, while in 4WD it was Adam Izsay 2nd and Hupo again 3rd.
