Karl-Heinz Meister takes German West Rd6

What a pity! Once again rain hampered the racing action of the Western German Championship I.C. 1/8 – for the fourth time in a row. Practice for the sixth and last round of the Western German Championship was held in Oberhausen under the best possible conditions with blue sky and temperatures around 25 degrees. On Sunday first clouds welcomed the racers and after round three of the heats it started to rain and didn’t stop for the rest of the day. Tobias Hepp wins German West 1/8th Rd4

Serpent supported youngster Tobis Hepp has won the fourth round of the 2008/2009 Western German Championship in class 1 of 1/8 scale which was held at Bad Breisig in the south of the former capital Bonn. It was a victory in style with a five lap advantage in the 30 minutes finale race over Frank Schewiola, the winner of round three, and Ralf Vahrenkamp. Christian Wurst joins Motonica for 2009

Christian Wurst has moved to Motonica for the 2009 season. The former European ‘B’ Champion joins Motonica Team Germany with Joerg and Uwe Baldes who are racing for the Italian brand since 2007. Wurst as well as the Baldes brothers are concentrating on the challenging Western German Championship and also some international races. Schewiola wins eventful West German season opener

Serpent driver Frank Schewiola took a well deserved win in the season opener of 1/8 nitro on road in Germany, which was already round three of the 2008/2009 Western German Championship at Dormagen near Cologne. Saarinen wins German West 1/10th Rd5

Last weekend at the MRC Alstaden track in the west of Germany was the 5th round of the German 1/10th scale National qualifiers run for the Western series. Qualifying saw Finnish racer Teemu Saarinen, racing his Mugen, take the pole position from Xray driver Jorge Baldes in 2nd, Andreas Weyhoven in 3rd and Markus Mobers in 4th.
