The second round of the Japanese Stock Combat was held at the RC Maniax Arena in Osaka this past weekend. 87 entries made for some competitive racing and in Invitational 2WD Stock Buggy it was Kyosho’s Kohta Akimoto with win from Kyosho teammate Yusuke Sugiura 2nd. In 3rd Hiroshi Nishio (Yokomo) would round out the podium.

The Astro Buggy Challenge took place recently at the RC Brushless Park track in Greece. In the 2WD A-main the racing was intense, finding Nicolas Floudas 1st after driving his Team Associated to the top of the podium. Coming in 2nd was Dimitris Foteinos with his Kyosho and Sakis Papacharisis, after another great performance, claimed the 3rd spot on the podium with his Yokomo. Behind them Elias Routsolias (Kyosho) and Nikos Micahlodimitrakis (Yokomo) battled for the best-of-the rest positions with the newcomers to the class Nikos Kostroglou and Nicolas Karavanas as well as Dimitris Tatsakis and Kostas Bougalis all delivering good performances.

Last weekend’s MRTO Challenge in Altnau, Switzerland saw Nico Schmid walking away with the win in the 2WD Buggy class. Nico would lead an Xray 1-2-3 as his brother, Florian Schmid and Philip Jeisy rounded out the top 3 result.

The HTS indoor track in Solo, Central Java, Indonesia, played host to the Solo Year End Race last weekend. A total of 53 drivers from Jakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Jogjakarta, Medan, Batam, Kendari, Makasar, Pontianak, Balikpapan as well as local drivers attended the event. Because the track is a semi-indoor facility the rainy weather on Sunday had little to no effect on the racing action and after the six qualifying rounds it was Jason Nugroho (Xray/Novarossi) who took the TQ honours and also the win from John Agus (Kyosho/O.S.) 2nd and Adrian Sutanto (Kyosho/O.S.) 3rd.
The MRTO Challenge was held in Switzerland last weekend and in the 4WD Buggy class it was SWorkz’s Micha Widmaier with the TQ and win. Xray’s Nico Schmid came in 2nd from Xray driver Luca Rau 3rd.

Coming from JConcepts is a purpose designed front wheel for the Team Associated B64 1/10th 4WD buggy kit. The Mono 2.2” wheel is designed in the popular dish style and available in bright white and fluorescent yellow. Vision Racing Products have introduced their popular XV3 pistons for the Tekno EB410. They feature the same slim sidewall design that reduces friction, yet maintains pack just like the VRP’s 1/8th XV3 pistons. Each pair of pistons comes with two rubber valves and two delrin washers. The opening round of the Swedish WBC Cup was hosted by the Karlskrona MRK club and held at the HB/Orion Race Track in Kallinge. In the 4WD Buggy class Elias Johansson lined up 1st on the grid in front of Jesper Rasmussen, Oskar Levin, and Alexander Landen, who rounded out the top 4 after the qualifiers. In A1 and A2 it was pretty much smooth sailing for Team Associated driver Elias Johansson and after taking the day’s win early he would sit out the final A-main to make way for the other pilots who fought for the remaining podium spots. Alexander Landen (Xray) had a DNF in A1 and a 2nd place finish in A2 and so he needed a good result to finish on the podium. Therefore he started off a little bit on the safe side for the first few laps, by that Oskar and Jesper were able to get a gap of a couple of laps, and they had a battle of their own. When things had settled in and Alexander had a little bit of a gap to the 4th placed car he started to reel in on the leaders and close the gap. When he was just within striking distance, the leaders came together and Alexander could go through to take the lead and he was able to maintain it until the end and by that securing the 2nd spot overall in front of Team Associated’s Jesper Rasmussen.
