Espinel & Bruck win at FORCE Series Rd7

River Rat RC Raceway recently held round 7 of the FORCE Series and it was Kayla Espinel (Xray) who took the TQ in the Intermediate Nitro Truggy class. From the tone Kayla would pull away and about five minutes into the race she already was a lap up. With clean and issue-free driving she was able to bring home the win from Xray teammate Jason Frank 2nd and Duane Sizemore (TLR) 3rd. Over in Intermediate E-Buggy it was Christian Bruck (Serpent) with the win from Brandon Denmark (Tekno) 2nd and Kayla Espinel (Xray) who rounded out the podium result in 3rd.

Islikon Offroad Masters Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the Islikon Offroad Masters was held recently and in the 4WD Buggy class it was Kevin Prinz (Xray) who took the TQ in front of his teammate Adi Riederer. After the mains it was again Kevin who was on top of things with Elias Hermann-Schiller (Xray) coming in 2nd while Adi Riederer (Xray) had to settle for 3rd overall. Over in 2WD Buggy it was Benjamin Moos who took the overall courtesy of two wins in the A-mains as Roger Frei and Martin Weidmann came in 2nd and 3rd overall. Finally in the Stadium Truck class it was Martin Weidmann with the win from Reto Kellenberger and Silvio Pietroboni.

Argentinean Nitro Off-road Champs Rd3 – Report

The third and final round of the Argentinean Nitro Off-road Championships took place at the El Condor track in Mendoza recently. Nice weather made for good racing conditions and in the 45-minute Pro Buggy finale it was Agustin Cutini with the win from Federico Davico and Joseph Quagraine in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Greek Electric Off-road Championship finale – Report

The final round of the Greek 1/10th Electric Off-road Championship was held recently at the FRT track in Stamata. In the 4WD class it was a total domination by Dimitris Foteinos, driving his Yokomo to the top of the podium at each race both at RC Brushless Park and FRT making him the undeniable Greek champion for the year 2017. Right behind him Nikos Katexakis (Yokomo) and 3rd placed Nicolas Floudas (Team Associated) rounded out the podium.

Joao Figueiredo doubles at RC Oeste track opening

Indoor RC Oeste recently held a grand opening race to celebrate their new 1/8th off-road outdoor track. Kyosho driver Joao Figueiredo took the TQ in the nitro class and he would also bring home the win from TLR’s Goncalo Melo and Xray’s Pedro Gomes. Over in E-Buggy it was again Joao with the in s Pedro and Goncalo battled for the 2 spot with the better end for Pedro as Goncalo had to settle for 3rd overall.

Christian Toic successful at Mayhem Race

Full Throttle RC Park in Green Island, New York recently held their annual Mayhem Race. In the 4WD Modified A-main Aaron Kothman (TLR) and Christian Toic (Team Associated) had a battle for the lead while Mark Sousa (Xray), coming from 4th on the grid, quickly moved up to 3rd. Later Aaron made a mistake and Mark was able to get into second and was three seconds behind Christian. Mark and Aaron had another little battle until Kothman made a mistake and Sousa was able to come across in 2nd behind Christian Toic as Aaron rounded out the podium.

Adam & Ronda Drake win at Top Notch Tour Rd4

Revelation Raceway hosted round 4 of the Top Notch Tour this past weekend with the event attracting nearly 80 entries. In the Pro Buggy class Mugen’s Adam Drake set the pace in both rounds of qualifying and started first in the 30-minute final. Drake went on to win the 30-minute final followed by the HB Racing duo of Tyler Brown and Chad Grana.

FORCE Series Rd7 – Report

Round 7 of the FORCE Series was held at River Rat RC Raceway. In 1/8 Pro Nitro Buggy Mitch Zeck was able to take TQ in round 1 and take a 3rd in Q2 which gave him the overall TQ. In the 35 minute A-main, Gene Hickerson took the early lead and started to check out. Zeck worked his way up from last to 3rd before having a receiver pack fail, causing a DNF. A great battle ensued between Hickerson, Jordan Singletary, and Julien Oliveras for the next 25 minutes. With five minutes to go, Hickerson got stuck on a pipe and flamed out, handing a 1-lap lead to Oliveras who went on to win. Hickerson rejoined in 4th but quickly worked his way back up to finish 2nd by just 0.07 seconds over Singletary in a very exciting photo finish.
