Malin Karlsen sweeps OMK Fall Classic Rd4

Malin Karlsen sweeps OMK Fall Classic Rd4

The fourth round of the OMK Fall Classic 2WD Buggy race series was held under floodlight at the OMK astro turf track. The race format was open practice followed by three qualifiers and triple mains. Xray’s Malin Karlsen swept the qualifiers to take a dominant TQ with the only 15-laps run of the evening and she also brought home an easy win in the opening A-main. A2 was a different affair though as her buggy got hit from behind in the first corner and so she dropped down the order but with some swift laps she easily recovered to get back into the lead and to take the win and with it the overall victory at round 4 from Serpent driver Marius Kristensen and Team Associated pilot Morten Bremsrud.

TLR/Horizon Hobby sweep NDOR NDORance Masters

This past weekend saw the NDOR Notts and Derby Off Road revive a classic race platform, the endurance race NDORance Masters 2016 in support of the Heart Link Children’s Charity. The race took place on the club’s varied and challenging astro track. Saturday had the teams home in their setup and all generally have a good time. Sunday saw the race itself and TLR UK’s three teams set to battle it out, with a number of others including two teams from RC PitBox. Two stick teams from TLR and one steering wheel team were raring to go Sunday morning. After an eventful sprint down the straight to collect engine and pipes, it was straight into the race with engine fitting and running-in part of the race itself. The 6 hours 45 minutes of racing saw all three top TLR cars complete over 500 laps each and reach the end of the race taking home all three steps of the podium with team TLR Horizon 1 taking the win from TLR Horizon 2 and TLR Horizon 3.
