Paparegas wins Northern Greece Buggy Champs Rd2

The 2nd round of the Northern Greek Buggy Championship was held at the Serres Hobbytech track on a new, technical layout with many jumps. Tasos Paparegas took the pole position and he also scored the fastest lap of the race but he was denied the win because of a battery failure. Instead his brother John took the winning honours from Perogianakis with Margaritis rounding out the podium in 3rd.

Wicaksono wins Jakarta Regional Buggy Champs Rd2

The 2nd round of Jakarta Regional Buggy Championship was held at the Jati Bening Track in Jakarta. The track was muddy and bumpy at race day because of overnight rain, making for some tough time for the drivers. Adrian Sutanto took the TQ after the qualifiers but it was Adrian Wicaksono who came out successful in the final in front of Jason Nugroho who lead the race at some point but he lost the lead after he flipped his buggy. John Agus rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Ressar & Lainemäe win at Estonian Buggy Nats Rd1

The first round of the Estonian 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Tallinn Festival Grounds in Tallinn. The annual grass race was run in the two classes of 1/8th Nitro Buggy and 1/8th E-Buggy and in the Nitro class it was Rainer Ressar who took the win from Hendrik Lainemäe in 2nd and Kuldar Ilus in 3rd.

4WD title showdown at EOS finale

Season #4 of the Euro Offroad Series reaches a climax this weekend in Slovakia with the Hudy Racing Arena playing host to the season finale where attention will focus on the 4WD title showdown. With Team Yokomo’s Lee Martin securing his first EOS title when he successfully defended the Japanese manufacturer’s 2WD crown at Round 3 in Austria, the British driver will this weekend attempt to do the double. The only driver to have ever done the double Joern Nuemann is his title rival, the now Serpent team driver having held reign of the 4WD class since the championship was first started in 2011. With the previous three rounds producing three different winners, on current form it is Martin, winner last time out who looks strongest as Neumann, a dominant force with Team Durango, still gets to terms with his new Serpent.

Bart Mullink wins at Dutch BL-Cup Rd2 & Rd3

The 2nd round of the Dutch BL-Cup was held in Hengelo at the Euregio track and it was Bart Mullink who won the race in front of Stefan Petrich in 2nd and Erik Wadners in 3rd place. For round 3 the drivers travelled to the RMCA circuit it Almelo. It was again Bart who pretty much dominated the field with Michael Thamm coming in 2nd place and Patrick Carels finishing 3rd. So far Bart has been the only person to make the podium at every round of this year’s BL-Cup, winning two rounds and coming in 2nd once, which makes him a hot candidate for the overall title.

Andreas Thrasyvoulou wins at Star Championship Rd3

The third round of the Cyprus Star Nitro Buggy Championship was held at the AG Metal Track in Limassol in perfect weather conditions. Young Xray driver Andreas Thrasyvoulou was able to take the TQ after the qualifiers and he then went on to win the main final also. Sotiris Taifas (JQProducts) came in 2nd, Simos Tikkis (Kyosho) rounded out the podium in 3rd.

Mitch & Hollis win at 2015 Hangin' Judge Classic

The annual Hangin’ Judge Classic held in Fort Smith, Arkansas, saw racers from all over the Southeast come to do battle on the tight and technical track at GS Hobby. Over the last three years the HJC has seen the hobby grow in numbers with lots of new racers taking part. Saturday would start with practice in the morning followed by qualifying that would stretch into the evening. 2WD Modified and 4WD Modified Buggy would be dominated by JR Mitch and Cody Hollis, with JR taking the top spot in 2WD Modfied and Cody taking the TQ in 4WD Modified with JR would also TQ-ing Modified Truck. Sunday was main day, with triple A-mains in the Modified classes. 2WD Mod Buggy would go to Cody Hollis after wins in A1 and A2. JR Mitch would win a deciding A3 in 4WD Mod Buggy to take the win over teammate Cody Hollis. With a win in Mod Truck JR would close out the weekend.

Parnot & Risser win at French 1/10th Off-road Nats Rd3

The third round of the French 1/10th Electric Off-road Nationals was held in Maison-Alfort in the south-east of Paris. Perfect weather and a superb organisation of the hosting AEC club made for a fun weekend on a UK-style track that offered a new and challenging layout. In the 2WD class local driver Julien Parnot (Schumacher) took the win from Olivier de Montfumat (Schumacher) and Belgian driver Nicolas Risser (Team C). In the 4WD class Nicolas Risser (Team C) came out successful from Matthien Briere (Xray) and Team Associated driver Ludovic Valtier.
