Desert-racing legend and Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame member Rob MacCachren has one of the longest and most storied careers in motorsports—he won his first off-road championship at just 8 years old. In his nearly 40 years of racing, Rob’s long tally of wins includes three Borg Warner Cup wins, three Governor’s Cup wins, three consecutive Pro 2WD championships (2008-2010), and ten SCORE Baja victories (five each in the Baja 500 and Baja 1000). Pro-Line’s new ProTrac Suspension kit for the Slash 4×4 is an easy to install kit that greatly increases forward acceleration, corner speed, consistency and drivability. Pro-Line revolutionized the 2WD Slash with the original ProTrac Suspension kit and now the same advantages are available for your Slash 4×4. The kit includes longer Front and Rear suspension arms for improved handling, ProTrac wheels that bring the truck back to Stock ROAR Legal width and new longer turnbuckles. The ProTrac arms not only look tricker than the stock arms, but they are beefier and have more suspension adjustment holes so you can dial in the truck to your track. These parts will certainly be a hit for those wanting to hop-up their favourite energy drink theme short course truck or add some durability and great looks to their machine. Available are steering knuckles, front caster blocks, rear hub carriers, steering bellcranks, front bulkhead, shock caps, front and rear skid plate as well as lock-pin hex adapters. Most of the parts fit the Traxxas Monster Jam replicas also.

STRC Slash 4×4 options

ST Racing Concepts have produced this high quality graphite motor mount plate and electronics plate to help reduce the weight on your Slash 4×4, while adding that trick factory look to your truck. Their new precision CNC machined rear hub carriers add an extra 0.5 deg. toe-in over the stock plastic hub carriers for a little extra rear traction and stability. These hubs also features their new manufacturing process that drills the bearing holes after anodizing, which allow the tightest tolerance possible around the bearing area. Available in blue, gun metal, red and silver anodizing.

STRC Slash 2wd Universals & lightweight LCG Conversion

Carrying over design and material selection from their HPI Blitz and Associated SC10 universal kits, STRC’s Slash 2wd universal kits feature large diameter universal driveshaft bone for more durability against the power of today’s LiPo battery/Brushless motor combo, the heavier weight of short course truck and larger diameter of short course truck tires. They also used the same carbon steel material for axles, which features two sets of universal pin holes so you can get twice the life out of the same set of axles. The universal joints and joint pins are of carbon steel material as well and the pins features a “step” for the setscrew to have a flat spot to more securely hold the universal driveshafts together. Lastly, even the universal shaft roll pin at the end was not over looked. Carbon steel at the pin although strong will unfortunately add excessive wear to the diff outdrives, thus a different material was selected just for the shaft pin for durability and ease of wear on the diff outdrives.

RPM Shock Shaft Guards

RPM Shock Shaft Guards are a simple design, replacing your stock shock spring cup with one that has a thin but tough shield rising up to the base of the shock body, completely blocking debris from striking the shock shaft. The back and sides are open, which prevents debris from building inside the guard as well. The kit comes with replacement oversized shock rod ends, improving durability and consistency on the shock pivot ball. Additionally, they redesigned the top of the rod end so it is square. That square end keys the shock shaft guard for directional control. The front shield of the guard covers over 100 degrees of frontal exposure. These guards are zero friction protection devices, meaning the guard never touches the working elements of the shock. Sold in sets of four they will fit the Slash 2wd and Slash 4×4 as well as other Traxxas vehickles. Available in Black, Blue and Dyeable White materials.

Traxxas Slash 2wd Chad Hord edition

Traxxas have announced the release of their latest replica truck, the Boss Snowplow Pro 2wd of Chad Hord. This ready to race truck is supplied with a TQ 2.4Ghz radio system and Power cell 7-cell NiMh battery. The base is the same high quality truck from Traxxas with Titan 12-Turn 550 modified motor, XL-5 waterproof electronic speed control, water-sealed receiver box and steering servo, metal gear Magnum 272 transmission and Revo-spec torque-control slipper clutch but with the familiar racing colours of Chad Hord.
