Fenix G56 200mm & 235mm pan cars

Fenix have introduced their new G56 1/10th pan car platform that includes 200mm World GT and 235mm Pro10 cars. Both cars are available in conventional 256mm wheelbase pivot rear suspension design or as 275mm wheelbase V-link/Quad-link variant with the latter being very popular for high-powered Pro10 cars. From default the pivot cars are usable with transversal or inline shorty packs while the V-link cars also accept standard touring car packs. Both cars share as many components as possible including the all-new front end consisting of flex-adjustable 2.5mm carbon fibre lower arms and a 2.5mm upper beam. Also the chassis can be swapped between the two versions, allowing to build a LWB pivot or SWB V-link car. The kits are available with a high-torque ball or easy-to-use gear differential – both of which rely on titanium axles for a low weight, precision and durability – and they are available from now on.

Fenix Classique 60’s Formula car kit

Fenix officially introduced their new Classique late 1960’s 1/10th scale formula pan car kit at last weekend’s EOS/European Reedy Race double header. Resembling the iconic 2500mm wheelbase wing-less cars, the Classique utilises a 250mm wheelbase for scale looks and driving performance. Despite the retro appearance, the kit makes use of high-end materials such as 2.5mm carbon fibre parts, a 7075 aluminium motor mount and a titanium differential as known from Fenix’s Mistral kit. The “60” is the first in a line of different models and it will become available as pure kit and also as Collectors Edition with a fully painted body shell and detailed driver and motor areas. The release date is set for late September to mid-October.

Fenix introduce new Pro10 diffs & silicone fluids

Fenix have introduced a new Pro10 gear differential specifically designed for the popular VIP Performance VTE kit, a prototype ball differential as well as a range of silicone fluids. Starting with the VIP gear diff, the assembly uses a 7mm titanium axle and a new diff housing that allows for proper 235mm specifications. Included in the kit comes a clamping diff hub with M3 and 4-40 unc threads that allows to use either of the two. As for the prototype ball differential, it builds on a 1/4 inch titanium axle for durability and precision, it utilises 16 1/8 inch diff balls for smoothness and like the above gear diff, it will make use of the double thread clamping hub. Last but not least comes Fenix’s new silicone fluid range that covers everything from shock to touring diff up to gear diff silicone oils. The 100 percent pure silicone oils are made in Europe and they come in convenient snap cap bottles.

Fenix X1 & Mistral brass lower pod plates

Coming from Fenix are new brass lower pod plates for the Xray X1 and Fenix Mistral 1/10th formula pan cars. The parts were specifically developed for low traction conditions or when running tyres with limited traction as the added rear end weight will greatly improve tyre bite and drivability. The plates are direct fits and have the advantage of lowering the centre of gravity compared to just adding weight in the form of brass motor plates or lead weights. The X1 pod plate weighs in at 36g while the Mistral-specific plate adds 41g. Both are up for grabs now.
