SMP Racing V-One RRR & MRX-4 parts

Swiss company SMP Racing, makers of the Slide 1/8th scale chassis which is no longer in production, have aimed their sites on the manufacture of aftermarket parts. Focusing on lightweight performance parts, they have released some new wheel axles for the Kyosho V-One RRR Evo, one pair made from titanium, weighing in at 6 grams and another set made from hard coated aluminium weighing 3 grams. Also new is a hard coated aluminum servo saver shaft for the Mugen MRX-4, which also weighs only 3 grams.

New from Kyosho USA is the Inferno US Sports 2, a ready to run 1/8th scale buggy based on the World Championship winning Inferno series. The drive train rides on all ball bearings and the power from the super powerful GXR28 is transferred through a hardened steel clutch bell and spur gear. The gear boxes have hardened steel spiral cut ring an pinion gears and all the reliability that Kyosho’s reputation has been built on. Last but not least, the body comes fully detailed and a competition rear wing is added to make this buggy that much more ready for the track or the back yard.

Kyosho have announced the release of the Inferno ST-US Sports, which is equipped with all the latest technology such as a 12 model memory, LCD display, digital radio with all the adjustments you would ever want. The drive train rides on all ball bearings and the power from the super powerful GXR28 is transferred through a hardened steel clutch bell and spur gear. The gear boxes have hardened steel spiral cut ring an pinion gears which means they were able to get the transmission ratio corrected for the large truggy tires without having to use a huge spur gear. This keeps the motor more centered in the car and the center diff lower to the chassis. A high torque steering servo has been spec’d for great steering accuracy and durability. Last but not least, the body comes fully detailed and a competition rear wing is added to make this truck that much more ready for the track or the back yard.

KM Racing V-One RRR options

KM Racing have released some new parts for the 1/10th scale Kyosho V-One RRR chassis. First up is this 3mm thick carbon fibre rear shock tower, the 2nd evolution of this design, it features 11 shock mounting holes as well as a slots for the fuel lid cable tie. Also new is a 2mm carbon fibre radio plate which has a new design and appears to be more for aesthetics than performance.

Kyosho Inferno GT High Speed Gears

New from Kyosho, for the automatic two-speed transmission in the Inferno GT, is this new gearing which promises to take speed to a whole new level. The transmission features a 21/40T second gear combination, which gives your GT a 6.3:1 final drive ratio in second gear, up from 7.49:1 in the original GT gearing. That translates to an increase in top speed and less wear and tear on the engine because it doesn’t have to rev so fast to achieve a class-leading top-speed. The GT gearing is easily capable of 55 mph and speeds upwards of 70 mph or more with slight modifications.
