Schumacher Racing expands engineering team

Schumacher Racing have expanded their engineering team again and would like to welcome Tristram Neal as design, development, and race engineer. Tristram previously worked as an engineer at AWE Atomic Weapons Establishment, and is well known for his Trishbits range of accessories that he has been producing for 1/10th buggies. He will be contributing to the design and development of Schumacher products and will be representing the company at race meetings.

Schumacher SupaStox GT12 circuit racer

Schumacher have released their SupaStox, bringing top class engineering to the 1/12th GT12 circuit and 1/12th oval classes of racing. SupaStox is a high performance racer that uses quality components, but still retains the philosophy of simplicity and low cost. Tough enough to cope with the full contact element of Bangers, Hotrods and Saloon Stox, and is also adjustable enough to be perfectly tuned for any circuit or oval tracks. Available end of April.

Schumacher hard tire inserts

Schumacher Racing introduce new hard tire inserts for Short Course trucks. The hard compound foams are designed for rims with equal inner and outer diameter and suitable for nearly all Short Course truck tires. They are sold in pairs and available now.

Schumacher Cougar SV2 2WD EP buggy

First seen at the Toy Fair in Nuremberg last week, Schumacher have now released the full details on their new Cougar SV2 Competition 2WD EP Buggy. Moving forward from the successful Cougar SV, winner of the British Off Road Nationals, Schumacher have raised the bar yet again. The new SV2 is lower, sleeker and above all faster! It now includes a hard anodised, laser etched, alloy chassis, a new heavy duty differential, transmission bearings and driveshafts. Using the mid-motor position, ultra compact design, perfect centre line balance and revolutionary constant radius steering system the Cougar SV2 is sure to be a winner. The Cougar SV2, take it up a level.

Simon Moss re-joins Schumacher

Schumacher would like to announce that top UK Off Road driver Simon Moss has re-joined the team for 2012. After a winter spell away from Schumacher, Simon is now back to join their team to run the new Cougar SV2 and CAT SX3 cars. Simon had this to say:

Its a great feeling to be back at the team where I feel I belong. I’m really looking forward to the 2012 season and working hard to have another fantastic year driving for Schumacher. I would like to thank Shaun and the guys at Ansmann for their support over the winter, but unfortunately things didn’t work out. I’d like to thank the guys at Schumacher for making this move happen. It should be a great year ahead

Simon’s first race was at the Schumacher Indoor Masters at Worksop this last weekend where he finished an excellent 3rd in 2WD and 4th in 4WD.

Toy Fair 2012 – Schumacher

In the new booth from Schumacher Racing sits the Cougar SV2 1/10th scale 2wd EP buggy. Based on its predecessor it has received a number of major upgrades for 2012 not least is the aluminium main chassis. 8mm longer than the SV, there will be optional versions to give a further 14mm or 8mm less to be more like the older car. The chassis helps keep the weight down low and offers better flex. The chassis can also accommodate a saddle or shorty pack with an option to use a stick pack.

Schumacher Mi4CXL 1/10th Competition TC

Seen at last weekend’s Euro Touring Series Rd2 in Italy, Schumacher have officially launched their new Mi4CXL 1/10th Competition Touring Car. The Mi4CXL is the latest version of the highly successful Schumacher Mi4 touring car range. Now with 2 British national titles, numerous European and World event wins including the ETS Pro Stock Championship, the CXL takes winning to the next level. Schumacher’s World Championship winning design team, with the help of top drivers such as Chris Grainger and Martin Hofer have improved the Mi4CX chassis design, making a car that is faster, yet easier to drive than ever before. Mi4CXL drivers will reduce their lap times and improve their positions in both qualifying and race conditions.

Jonny Aird joins Schumacher

Schumacher are pleased to announce the top touring car driver Jonny Aird has joined the team. Jonny is a young but experienced racer who finished in 6th in the BRCA Modified Championship last year with the highlight of TQ’ing Halifax National ahead of some established world level stars. He had this to say:

I am really excited to join the Schumacher team, the car is a proven winner and the company shows great ambition to improve and develop their products. Everyone at Schumacher is extremely friendly and supportive and I am grateful for this opportunity.
