Exotek TLR 22-4 rear camber block & front tower

Exotek TLR 22-4 rear camber block & front tower

New from Exotek for the TLR 22-4 4wd buggy are a new rear camber block and front shock tower. The rear camber block has been made from heavy duty machined 7075 and they have added 2 additional and important higher roll centre mounting points at the bottom of the camber mounts. The new lower mounting points are excellent for freeing up the buggy at the rear for more mid corner steering but also increased on power traction and stability. The front shock tower has been made from stealthy matte finish 5mm thick carbon fibre. Much stiffer and stronger for consistent damper action yet still light weight due to its extra machining and the wide open shape allows air to pass through for better body aero. The one piece shock tower eliminates the lower camber mount for improved durability and uses flat head screws for better shock tower alignment onto the bulkhead.

Exotek TLR 22 alloy motor plate & front camber block

Exotek TLR 22 alloy motor plate & front camber block

Exotek have two new aluminium option parts available for TLR’s 22 line of vehicles. First up is the Flite motor plate, a fully CNC-machined part that is of a vented design to keep the motor running cooler and longer for that extra edge. Aggressive cut outs allows the heat that builds up inside the gear cover to vent out thus lowering overall motor temps greatly. The extra machining reduces the weight down to 14.5 grams, making it 6 grams lighter than stock, but the critical motor mounting areas are still intact to maintain solid motor mounting and gear mesh. The is intended for the use on indoor clay or carpet tracks, it comes laser etched, polished and anodised in gun metal or limited yellow colour.

TLR 22-series aluminium MM rear camber tower

TLR 22-series aluminium MM rear camber tower

Available now from TLR is this aluminium rear camber tower set for mid motor converted 22-series buggies and trucks. Containing a rear aluminium MM camber brace and a lightweight aluminium as well as a +14g brass tower the part is made to replace the kit’s composite camber plate with a more sturdy construction to prevent the inner ball studs to becoming ripped out during heavy crashes. While the aluminium tower only adds a small amount of additional weight the brass tower ups the weight of the rear compartment if conditions call for it. The parts are usable on the 22, the 22T and 22SCT as well as the respective 2.0 variants.
