LRP SXX TC Spec Speed controller

LRP have announced that their World Championship winning SXX TC spec speed controller will make its production debut at this weekends LRP Masters race in Germany. With a completely revised and updated software, ADPC 2, it offers even better throttle and brake control than previous models and the low profile heat sink and new internal design has improved heat dissipation even further. A new low profile high-rpm plugged fan, as well as the optimised Internal Temp Check System 2, are some of the other new features on the SXX.

Exclusive - Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro

Seen for the first time here in the pits at the 3rd round of the Euro Touring Series in Warsaw, Poland, was the all new Gran Turismo 2.0 PRO Blue Edition speed controller from Speed Passion. This is the latest speedo from the World Champion motor company and is their first proper attempt at a high end competition speedo for modified racing and judging by the reaction of team driver Marc Rheinard, who is running the ESC for the first time, it seems to work very well. The ESC is scheduled for a mid March release in standard Carbon black colour, with the blue version seen in these pictures due for release after that.

When it comes to competition Electronic Speed Controls (ESC’s) for 1/10 scale cars, consumers are faced with an ever expanding range of offerings. One of the newest additions is the Team Orion Vortex BL sensored/less 100A speedo. It was introduced some time ago and is available now. Please do not mistake it for the KO Propo based Team Orion Vortex Race Spec ESC we introduced in our 2008 Electric On-Road Worlds coverage. We hope to bring you a review of the Race Spec version at a later date. But back to the Vortex BL 100A. It comes in a neat cardboard box together with a small but comprehensive manual and a small Team Orion sticker sheet.

Novak Havoc 3S Brushless/Brush ESC

Novak’s powerful Havoc 3S Brushless/Brush ESC is based on the Havoc Sport and has the ability to run on either two or three-cell Li-Po batteries, which the speed control automatically detects through their proprietary auto-detect software. This feature allows users to run a wider range of batteries and – for the speed-hungry racers – bestows the Havoc 3S with even more speed than its predecessor. Featuring a small footprint and low cost, this ESC contains a very strong BEC for sport applications and includes nine adjustable parameters to fine-tune brake and throttle response.

Much More Shift Reversable ESC

Much More have released the Shift, the company’s new reversable speed controller. The new design uses a higher spec of new FETs, providing longer runtime and more durable performance compared the previous ESC. Suitable for 17-55T motors, it features automatic setup, has a built in overheating protection system and is shock resistant.
