SMC Low Rider modified motor

SMC have introduced the somewhat radical Low Rider 540-size modified brushless motor. Designed to offer maximum drivability with a linear power delivery and still tons of top end, the motor also features a minimised the outer diameter, shedding the useless can and shrinking the length as much as the rules allow to. The small package drops the weight more than 17 percent from SMC’s Totemic Modified platform. And by utilising the new diameter, the mounting holes are offset to lower the motor in the motor mount. This leads to a light motor slung way down in your chassis.

HPI Racing SCM-2S waterproof speed controller

HPI Racing’s SCM-2S WP is a small and powerful electronic brushed motor speed controller that is suitable for micro RC vehicles of all types. The speedo is also fully waterproof, making it the good choice for anyone who enjoys driving their car in wet conditions. The controller is suitable for five to six NiMH cells, as well as 2S LiPo batteries with a low voltage safety cut-off fitted to protect the battery from becoming deep discharged.

HRC Racing Dual Star Pro multi-chemistry charger

HRC Distribution have introduced the new HRC Racing Dual Star Pro multi-chemistry AC/DC charger. Offering two 200W charge outputs and an LiHV mode, the device is capable of up to 20A charge current with the internal balancers sporting a swift 1A balancing drain for fast charging. In addition the charger features two back-lit LCD screens, dual 4-button programming and an integrated 400W power supply.

TQ Wire 2S charge cable with strain relief

Available now from TQ Wire is a 2S LiPo charge cable with strain relief. The premium 2S charging cable incorporates the standard features found in TQ Wire’s standard charge cables like 12 gauge wires, stepped bullets for both 4mm and 5mm batteries and a neat nylon cover. But the company now added molded strain reliefs with grippers for the battery side bullets and balance plug. This provides a more durable connection for the balance wires and easier removal of the bullets from the battery.

LRP X22 WorksTeam optional rotors

Coming from LRP and made for the new X22 series of 540-size competition modified motors are a total of five WorksTeam optional rotors. Available as 12.1mm, 12.3mm, 12.5mm, 12.7mm and 13.0mm variant, the rotors have great influence on the overall RPM and available torque, with the smaller diameters increasing the RPM at the expense of lower torque, less powerful brakes and higher motor temperatures while the larger diameter items reduce the overall RPM but increase torque and brake performance. This means smaller diameter rotors are better suited for 2WD cars or lower grip tracks while the large rotors will excel in 4WD vehicles or on high-grip surfaces. All rotors are direct replacements and they come with laser-etched markings for easy identification.

ORCA RT, RTS & Blitreme alloy screw set

ORCA have introduced an aluminium screw set for the RT, RTS and Blitreme brushless motors that will improve the motor’s performance thanks to being non-magnetic. The set includes three long motor case and three short end cap screws and using the fasteners will increase the motor’s overall RPM while making for faster throttle response at the same time.

Speedzone LCG 2S 120C LiPo battery packs

Speedzone have added more diversity to their hardcore LiPo battery line with the release of two LCG battery packs. The first is a 2S 6000mAh 120C pack. It measures 139x47x22.4mm and weighs in at 292g. The second is a 2S 4300mAh 120C shorty pack. Its dimensions are 96x47x22.4mm and the weight is 194g. The low-profile design of both packs allow to further fine tune the handling characteristics of the car and both packs use standard 5mm bullet-type connectors.
