Celebrating the great success of the P3TT Buggy engine, Picco have introduced the P3TT Limited edition engine. Restricted to 300 pieces only, they are supplied with all the technical tuning options such as DLC treated crankshaft, rear ceramic bearing, head button with silicone seal to prevent dust and vibration. This engine has been designed to improve throttle response and fuel economy and it features the new oval Venturi for exceptional power control on low grip tracks and in addition is supplied with standard round 7.0 and 7.5mm versions giving you the power you need for all grip conditions from very low to extremely high. The oval venturi offers a progressive opening: the surface of a horizontal ellipse evolving more gently than the round opening of regular restrictor. Thus, on a low traction track, the engine’s behaviour will improve the drivability fuel mileage.
One have introduced their new carburettor for O.S. based 1/8th circuit or GT engines. Designed to increase torque as well as improving stability from the engine it has a new lightweight design, comes with 7mm and 8.5mm Venturi and all needle screw adjustments are done using a 2.5mm Allen key. The carburettor is a very vital component to an engine and while the current carburettor is doing a good job, One have not stopped with development and have come up with a new improved version.
T-Works have created these engine bearing replacement tools for both .21 and .12 engines. Presented in a handy protective carrying case, the complete tool does exactly what you expect it to, helping you remove and replace the main bearing from your engine. The bearing puller and collets are available as a set allowing you to use the tool for both engine types. The collets are also available separately with a 14mm, 12mm and 11.8mm version available as well as the pressure adaptors available separately for .21 and .12 engines.
Gimar have introduced their all-new Saturn 9 Evo .21 nitro on-road competition engine built from OS. The power plant utilises the new patented M.E.S. (multi exhaust system) sleeve, which has 9 ports with 4 exhaust booster ports and the special shape ensures maximised performance. The crankcase is specially machined from OS to work perfectly with the 4 booster ports sleeve and the crankcase has been hard black coated to increase hardness and stability. Also new is the DLC-coated crankshaft with triple tungsten balance weights and silicone insert. The updated design optimises internal mixture flow while the lightweight shaft improves agility. While the 3-needle carburettor allows for better idling and quicker returning to low RPM after throttling. The engine’s features are rounded out by a new combustion camber insert specially developed for the use with 16 percent nitro fuel. A 25 percent insert is available separately.
O.S. Speed have introduced their updated R21 Euro 1/8th onroad engine with the release of the Euro II. Based on their successful Euro motor released three years ago, the engine sports a host of updates starting with the new crankshaft. To obtain more power the balance of the crankshaft was updated and now sports 3 tungsten counter weights, giving an improvement in the mid range. Another effect of this change is the return to idle has been improved. The liner now has an additional cooling hole on the exhaust side and the crankcase has been updated to cater for this. The last change is only cosmetic as the cooling head now has some updated laser graphics. Available as stand alone engine or as a combo with the TR01 exhaust and MR02 manifold for long straights in Europe.
New from ONE are the European Championship edition GT engines in two different versions, Ultimate Red Dot 5 min and also the Ultimate Red Dot 7 min. These are two different types of engines, the Ultimate Red Dot 5 being spec’d for 5 minute runtime duration and maximum power, while the Ultimate Red Dot 7 spec’d for maximum fuel economy with competitive power. Both of these engines come with special edition back plate and a 7mm Aluminium Venturi as well as featuring a new lightweight cooling head. These engines during testing created 22% more power than their already successful predecessors.
For O.S. and Novarossi engines, T-Works have released these optional carburettor venturi inserts. Made from anodised aluminium, there is two versions, 5.8mm and 5.3mm, to allow you to fine tune your motor for power or fuel economy.
Ultimate Racing have introduced the follow up to the successful M3X engine with the release of their new 3 port .21 Off-Road Ultimate MXS Ceramic Competition Engine. Like its predecessor, the MXS is made by O.S. Engines and it’s based on their square stroke Speed B21 Ty Tessmann II edition engine but has some modifications on the crankshaft as well as on the back plate to improve performance. This engine has more power and returns to idle way better than its predecessor. The cooling head has been redesigned and while not as low as the B2102 lower profile, it is lighter so it keeps the center of gravity as low as the B2102 but improving its performance on high temperatures. The backplate has been updated to improve the gas flow going to the piston and improving engine efficiency and performance. The crankshaft of the MXS is an evolution of the DLC B2102 but with two balanced tungsten in order to increase the inertia to rotation. Also available as Team Edition and combo with the EFRA 2141 or 2142 pipes.
