This is the fully CNC machined ‘Compression Testing Tool’ from the Merlin McFly factory. Made from high quality Swiss 7075 alloy, the whole assembly is easily screwed into the glow plug hole of any glow engine with a turbo plug. Once you switch in on and turn the engine to the top dead centre you can read the compression of the engine on the digital readout and compare it with your other engines or those of your friends.
Following the release of their 2022 R21 onroad engine Hasi Tuned are happy to introduced their new 2022 R21 5-port GT nitro engine intended for use with 1/8th GT cars. Based on the 5 port O.S. R21 engine, the new Hasi R21 GT5 has updated timing and new improvements on the cylinder, these upgrades necessary for perfect adjustment with the new fuel rules from EFRA. ProTek R/C have announced their new Samurai RM Maifield Edition 3-port .21 competition nitro engine, the engine which dominated last week’s Dirt Nitro Challenge. The Maifield Edition combines features hand picked by ProTek R/C team driver Ryan Maifield, with the proven race winning performance of the ProTek Samurai platform. It features a unique backplate with steel insert to reduce friction which helps to provide increased conrod lifespan, a more stable idle and higher RPM, while also eliminating the risk of aluminium debris in the engine due to backplate wear. The RM Edition is paired with the proven “high power” 21j carburettor and long stroke configuration, making it a great option for large track 1/8 nitro buggy and 1/8 nitro truck racing. A low CG 9 fin “RM” cooling head, 3 port sleeve and ceramic rear bearing round out the package to create a pro-level engine that delivers the power and performance needed to win, with the reliability required to compete at the highest levels of competition.

The new SPower S6TT Buggy 3.5cc engine from SWorkz features a newly designed crankcase that improves internal gas flow and therefore higher performance at every range of RPM. The 14mm crankshaft with silicone insert is DLC coated in order to prevent wear of the pin as well as oxidation and the shaft works on a high quality rear ceramic Swiss-Made bearing. The 3+2 ports ‘cylinder and piston’ is made with special alloys to optimise life and reliability of the unit. Paired with the long stroke scheme the S6TT provides an improved drivability delivering more torque than previous models. The super aligned ‘knife edged’ aerodynamic conrod is also made with a special aluminium alloy. The die-casted carburettor sports the latest double bottom-end adjustment for a fine-tuning and guarantees low fuel consumption. Finally, the completely redesigned cooling head features a lower centre of gravity with the same quantity of cooling rings. SPower also offer a perfectly adapted EFRA homologated exhaust system for this engine.
