Yannick Aigoins RB C6 BB Worlds engine

Yannick Aigoins RB C6 BB

TWF8.ws have gotten their hands on the RB C6 BB engine that Yannick Aigoin almost won this years World Championship in Indonesia with. The fuel line rubbing on the flywheel was the cause of his demise at the race but thats not important here, what is important is that there are plenty of pictures from all the internal parts of this engine as well as an interview with Yannick himself about the engine and its preperation. And best of all, there is an auction running on the site between the 10th and 25th of December so you can actually own this motor.

You can view the full write up here.

The Piranha P2 2wd buggy

Piranha P2

This is a wicked home made 2wd buggy from a guy called Aaron who posted over at the oOple forums. This buggy is made from a self made carbon/kevlar tub and features in board suspension on the front, which is mounted to the outside of the main tub giving it a strange look but very good handling. I think its a nice project and its always good to see people trying different things and thinking outside the box.

You can see more pictures of it here and here.

Xray release bunch of XB8 Optionals

Xray Mud Scraper

Xray have pulled out all the stops and come out with a bunch of new optionals for the XB8 buggy. My favourite of which is the mud scraper shown in the image above, that removes the mud that has built up in the inside of your wheel when racing in wet and muddy conditions. Other parts include clutch bells and spur gears, coloured wheels and wings as well as a new body and a few other bits and pieces.

You can check out all the new optional parts here.

Team Orion Wasp CRF 12 Josh Cyrul edition

Team Orion Wasp CRF Josh Cyrul

Team Orion are coming out with a Josh Cyrul edition engine combo that includes WASP CRF .12 engine, exhaust system and CRF clutch (for HPI/Mugen??) all packed together in what seems to be a radio bag. I dont think the engine has been modified, the fact that it all comes together is what makes it special. If you want it, it comes out in Japan in December.

Alex Racing LX-250 bodyshell

Alex Racing LX-250 bodyshell

Alex Racing have released this great looking 190mm body, the LX-250 which was debuted at the recent 2006 Japanese EP National Championships at the Yatabe Arena by former World Champion Atsushi Hara. This new body features a narrow windscreen for better top speed and is low to help the center of gravity, plus i think it looks very close to a Group C, especially around the back so thats got to help too.

DIY front brakes for MZ1 Rally Game chassis

MZ1 Rally Game

Some enterprising Italian has decided that his MZ1 Rally Game chassis needed front brakes so he set about making it and then telling us how he did it. What he has essentially done is add a brake disk to the middle lay shaft and then mounted a braking system to the lower side of the radio plate which is activated by the throttle servo through a lever. The article does points out what i believe to be the big problem with this, stripping the front belt and pulley, but they say that this isnt a problem because of the way they have done it, also the Rally Game rubber tyres probably dont bite as much under braking as foam so the pressure will be less. They also state that it will require a very heavy duty front steering servo to handle the extra strain caused by the front wheel brakes.

Check out the article (in Italian) with lots of pictures here.
