Robert was also in action in the 1/8th scale class at the same event, and the Novarossi team driver, who has won the first 2 rounds, showed once again that he is in top form. After 4 rounds of qualification he placed his Shepherd Velox on pole position, 7 seconds faster than Mugen driver Armin Baier in 2nd with Kyosho team driver Andreas Hammerl in 3rd. The final took place under perfect weather conditions with Robert making the most of the clear track in front of him at the start and could pull out an advantage maintaining his position to the end, winning by 2 laps in front of his uncle Christoph Pietsch while 3rd place went to Andreas Hammerl, 2 laps further back.
