Kyosho Syncro EX-6R 2.4GHz Mini-Z transmitter

Made for Kyosho’s 2.4GHz Mini-Z vehicles is the Syncro EX-6R transmitter. It utilises the innovative MHS (Mini-Z Hybrid Spread) 2.4GHz system that combines both Frequency Hopping (FH-SS) and Direct Sequence (DS-SS) spread spectrum, making it the fastest multifunctional transmitter in Mini-Z history. While the improved interference resistance and stability of the MHS 2.4GHz system represents a significant evolution from the ASF 2.4GHz and FHS 2.4GHz systems, the greatest benefits are due to the high-speed processing and communication that creates greater linear control, enabling the machine to be manoeuvred exactly as intended along optimal racing lines. In addition, the EX-6R features a newly designed throttle with revised length, shape, operating angle and sensor for greater direct feel as well as a new softer steering spring for greater sensitivity to enhance driving performance.

From the inaugural Desert Classic race just five months earlier, HA has come a long way with the track build and track quality providing a much smoother surface and increased grip levels.

JConcepts TRX-4 Torch 1.9″ aluminium bead lock wheels

JConcepts have introduced their new Torch 1.9″ aluminium bead lock wheels for the Traxxas TRX-4 trial truck. The 6-spoke wheel is a straight-forward design, incorporating a triangle type spoke around the centre for heavy street appeal. The basic color is black, however, the natural color of the aluminium wheel has been exposed in the spokes which adds a touch of depth. Around the hub section, a flared boss surrounds the screw mounting area and has been highlighted in silver to bring out the lustre of an all metal wheel design. The bead lock wheel has a bolt-in 12mm hex adaptor which features a shim option to increase width by 1mm on each side by adding in the aluminium spacer between wheel and adaptor. The assembled wheel is solid with aluminium material, machined details with an array of threaded holes for the most tyre mounting security. Each package contains four wheels, eight aluminium bead locks, four 12mm aluminium hex adaptors, four 1mm offset shims and steel hardware for complete assembly.

Jörn Neumann and Serpent part ways

Multi-time European and German national Champion Jörn Neumann has announced his departure from chassis sponsors Serpent. The somewhat unusual mid-season split leaves questions about the future of Jörn and his mentor and mechanic Gerd Strenge as the two usually swap teams together. While it is yet unclear what’s next on the agenda for Jörn he has the following to say:

Today I need to announce that my relationship with Serpent has come to an end. We achieved great success together, with taking the European Championship title in 4WD last year as the highlight. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone at Serpent and 2-Speed for the support they gave me during that time. At this point in my life things have recently changed. Let’s see how the future will be for me beside and on the racing track.
