Cody King wins at DTR Track Challenge Rd2

This past weekend round 2 of the DTR Track Challenge was held at Dialed in RC Raceway in Victorville, California. Qualifying did not go the way Cody King wanted it to, so he would start 4th on the grid. At the start of the 20 minute final Cody would get past 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the first corner. He saw that as his chance to push it and get away and that’s what he did as the HB Racing driver got about a 15-second lead that he would hold onto the entire race to take the win in the Expert Buggy class from Mugen’s Adam Drake and Kyosho’s Anthony Westergaard.

Daniel Kobbevik wins Norwegian E-Buggy Nats Rd3

The third round of the Norwegian 1/8th Electric Nationals was hosted by the Oslo Model Car Club this past weekend. The race did not start well for pre-event favourite Daniel Kobbevik who suffered a corrupt speed controller that had no brakes but he was able to get a P2 in the opening qualifier despite having to drive really smoothly. With a new controller installed for the remaining qualifiers, Daniel was able to snatch the overall TQ thanks to coming out fastest in Q2 and Q3. A1 then was smooth sailing for the young man but in A2 he suffered a dying battery in the opening stages meaning he had to hold everything in A3 in which Daniel was able to bring home the win and with the the overall victory from Kai Ronning 2nd and Mathias Fink 3rd.

Jason Nugroho wins Jakarta Regional Buggy Champs Rd4

The 4th round of the Jakarta Regional Buggy Championship was held at the Graha Raya track, Serpong, West Java last weekend. A total of 40 drivers attended this event and the race format originally saw three rounds of 10-minutes qualifying with the best two to count but due to rain during the third and final qualifying round the race director decided to count all fully run rounds. This meant Adrian Wicaksono (Mugen/Reds Racing) took the TQ honours when two rounds here completed but in the final he unfortunately got into traffic and only finished in 3rd while up front Jason Nugroho (Xray/Novarossi) took the first place followed by Rama Tribudiman (Team Associated/O.S.) in 2nd.
