Gunter & Jackson win Stock classes at BTCC Rd1

Gunter & Jackson win Stock classes at BTCC Rd1

Last weekend’s Schumacher BTCC season opener at the awesome Cotswolds track on Kemble Airfield not only saw the running of the ultra-fast Touring Car Modified class but also 13.5T Boosted and 17.5T Blinky classes. Run on Sorex 32 control tyres, the race saw a maximum entry of 130 drivers for the first serious race on the UK calendar. Around 80 keen drivers took up the opportunity of practice on the Saturday getting their cars dialled in for the race on Sunday. Sundays temperatures were a little on the cool side with drivers struggling a little for traction in the early practice run after the overnight rain. In the biggest 13.5T Boosted class Chris Gunter was top of the time sheets in qualifying ahead of current BRCA Champ Zak Finlay and new signing James Hart. The final saw an easy flag to flag victory for Chris with Ben Putt and Jimmy Maddison taking 2nd and 3rd after an intense battle between the pair.

This past Sunday the first round of the Belgian 1/8th and 1/10th Nitro On-road Championship was held at the track of Bierset. The qualifiers and finals were run in difficult track conditions due to rain in the morning and early afternoon. In the 1/8th class Robin D’Hondt took the pole with his new BMT. Kyosho Syncro EX-6 Mini-Z radio system

Kyosho America have announced first details on their all-new Syncro EX-6 Mini-Z radio system. The newest and most advanced radio ever built for use with the Mini-Z cars from Kyosho is based on the EX-2 radio system just introduced by KO Propo. It takes advantage of the “KIY” (Kustomize It Yourself) system that allows modular expansion and modification of the radio system, and it has a new ultra-fast hybrid mode that is faster than any system currently available. The Syncro EX-6 features a high level of adjustability via precision digital settings that remain stored in the radio’s memory. Most of the settings are adjusted via the two-position LCD display, which can display data in line with the radio for more conventional viewing, or it can be rotated to a transverse position, which makes it easier to view settings and data from the side of the radio.
