Following a first teaser image Matrix now officially announce their new Matrix 190mm touring car bodyshell. Offering a flowing design the body is meant to make for a well-balanced handling with exceptional steering response and a stable rear end, resulting in high corner speeds and a unique driving feeling.

This past weekend Horsham RC in Horsham, PA hosted the 2015 ROAR On-Road Carpet Nationals. In the Touring Car Stock 13.5T class Awesomatix’ Mike Gee would take the TQ from the Xray duo of Robbie Dodge and Drew Ellis. Larry Fairlace (Awesomatix) and Michael Hanulec (Awesomatix) rounded out the top 5 after the qualifiers.

The 2015 season of the RC Lemans Series will kick off on the weekend of April 19th. The 7-race series visits tracks in Belgium, Luxemburg, German and the Netherlands and it is held in Pro10 Modified and Pro10 Stock 10.5T Zero Boost classes. Race 5, hosted by the German Bad Breisig club, also marks the warm-up race for the 25. International German Championship held in September. More information, rules and all dates can be found here.

New from German brand Orcan come EFRA 2654 and EFRA 2669 pipes in a special “Tuned” variant. They offer an extremely thin wall thickness for maximised efficiency and extreme top RPM. Both include Orcan’s universal OA26C+ muffler that is the best all-round solution for most tracks. The more top-speed oriented AO26S+ and the more torquey OA26M+ manifold are available separately.

New from VBC Racing and made for the Wildfire D07 touring car is the Aggressive Package chassis conversion kit. It is based around a new 2.25mm carbon fibre main chassis that places the motor more towards the rear for increased steering feeling. Included are also a new 2.0mm topdeck and new 510T front and 189T rear low friction belts. The conversion is meant to excel on carpet and high-grip tracks.

Active Hobby Products have a new one-way gear set available for Tamiya’s TT-02 entry-level touring car. Containing a 42T one-way and 13T pinion gear the set makes for an under-driven front end, a setup often used by drift car racers. The highly precise gears fit the Tamiya OP671 front one-way unit and they become available soon.

The Brazilian 1/8th On-road Championship was held in the City of Americana near Sao Paulo, host of the IFMAR World Championships this year. Following a rainy qualifying Flavio Elias had no problems to win the semi-final and bump up to the championship deciding final. The first laps of the 45 minute main were a little bit troublesome but Flavio stayed calm and started to control the race when he took over the lead and kept the 1st place until the checkered flag.
