Yokomo introduce the BD7 2015 JMRCA Open Class Spec touring car chassis kit. Based on the World Champion winning BD7 2015 the upgraded kit includes a range of optional parts found race-worthy by Yokomo’s team drivers such a floating servo mount, titanium turnbuckles and front double-joint universal driveshafts. The kit, including the option parts package worth around US$100, will become available in late March.

Xray have announced that former European and multi-National Champion Jernej Vuga has extended his contract with the Slovakian company for 2015. Jernej is a nitro on-road specialist and will race Xray’s RX8 nitro car while swapping it for an X12 1/12th scale car for the Winter season. Jernej will participate at all major regional, national and international races including the European Championship, the ENS and the Alpe Adria Cup and he had the following to say:
I’m so happy to race with Xray X12 and RX8 cars in 2015 season. Having the possibility to be also a part of the 1/8 on-road test team makes me even more satisfied and motivated, since I will have a chance to contribute my feedback to make the new car even better. Shortly after the announcement of the R8.0 1/8th nitro on-road car ARC have first renderings of an electric-powered variant available. Sharing around 85 percent of parts with the nitro variant the whisper silent electric car will sport a relocated drivetrain with an inner mounting position for the centre belt to allows the battery packs to be mounted as close to the centre of the chassis as possible. The battery trays will accept 2S, 4S and 6S LiPo packs while the motor mount takes industry standard 550-class motors. The speed controller will be located on a separate tray to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible. With the R8.0E being a purpose designed kit there will also be a conversion kit available for the R8.0 allowing nitro drivers to use the car off season. Both the full kit and the conversion will become available in July.

WRC have a new optional part for the STX touring car available in the form of hard front castor hubs. Made from a new compound the C-hubs are 20 percent harder than the standard parts for improved rigidity and steering precision.

Xray have announced the signing of German 1/8th Class 2 and Kyosho World Cup Champion Tom Krägefski to their nitro on-road team. The ENS main finalist will be racing Xray’s 1/8th and 1/10th nitro on-road cars at all major races in Germany and Europe. Tom says:
I am happy to join the Xray factory Team for the 2015 season. I look forward to cooperating with such a professional team and I am sure that we can work successfully together. I am particularly pleased to continue my racing career with Bertram Kessler and the whole SMI Motorsport team at my side. In the upcoming season we will be participating in the European Championships, Euro Nitro Series and the National Championships with the NT1 and RX8.

New from Serpent comes an adjustable front wing for the F110 SF2 formula kit. The multi-level wing offers improved downforce and steering thanks to its design that also allows to adjust the rear upper segments in three steps to fine-tune the aerodynamic performance. The wing is available in black and white colour and it also fits Tamiya and Xray cars as well as chassis that use the same mounting pattern.

Schumacher have new optional parts for the SupaStox GT available in the form of the low pivot conversion and the pro thrust race. Starting with the low pivot conversion, the set lowers the rear pivot ball height giving the car more overall traction, making it easier to drive. It also reduces the chances of the rear traction running out during a run as it works the rear tyres less. The set also allows the car to be run on a softer front tyre giving the car more overall traction and most importantly faster lap times.
