Round 2 of the Winter Race Morava was held at the sport stadium of Jedovice. In the Touring Car Modified class Jirka Vysin came out successful in the A-final in front of Vitezslav Hola and Petr Grof. Jarda Kopecky and Michal Vitamvas rounded out the top 5 result. The Touring Car Stock class had Jarda Kopecky walking away with the win from Karel Kratochvil and Ales Pelikan.

HB announce that American racer JJ Wang has extended his contract to race wit the electric on-road and off-road racing team through to 2016. Now a veteran member of the HB-HPI Racing on-road racing team, JJ has been helping develop the new HB Pro 5 with the help of HB designers and teammate Andy Moore. JJ has also been campaigning the HB D413 at off-road tracks around the world. This is what JJ has to say about the deal:

After a 3 year break the famous Masters of Foam pan car race is back in 2015. Addressing 1/12th scale and World GT racers alike the event will be held in the three classes of 1/12th Modified, 1/12th 10.5T Blinky and 1/10th World GT 10.5T/13.5T Blinky. The race will take place at the RC Nuclea Mol racing club in Mol, Belgium on the weekend of the 1st of February. New from Radtec comes a 2-piece motor cooling fan mount. Machined from high-grade 7075-T6 aluminium the holder is usable with 30mm and 40mm fans and it mounts directly to the motor can for improved cooling efficiency without interfering with the chassis’ flex. The mount features a channel to route the fan’s connection wire in and it is available in several colours including black, orange, light blue and red.

The 2nd round of the South Swedish Indoor Cup was held in Hassleholm, Sweden. The racers faced quite a small but yet technical layout with good grip. Right from the start local driver Daniel Carlsson found himself on top of the timesheets with a 4 seconds margin over the 2nd place driver in practice. Daniel then also lead the qualifying with Markus Hellquist coming in 2nd some 4 seconds behind while Christian Holmström ended the qualifiers in 3rd further 3 seconds down. The finals then were a done deal for Daniel who made a clean sweep in all three legs to take the overall win from Markus and Christian.

The first round of the Norwegian National Winter Series was organised by the Kvinesdal RC Club in the South of Norway with a record entry of over 80 drivers in attendance. Held in the classes of Touring Car Modified, Touring Car Stock 13.5T, Touring Car Recruit 21.5T and 1/12th scale Modified the race format saw three rounds of qualifying with the best result to count followed by triple mains. In the Touring Car Modified class raining Nordic Champion and Schumacher team driver Nikolai Haaheim would secure the overall TQ by topping all three rounds of qualifying. A close 2nd was Team Associated driver Petter Berntsen, Oskar Fjeld (Yokomo) followed in 3rd while Rune Svestol (Xray) came in 4th.

The 2014 Edition of the New Zealand North Island EP Champs took place at the North Harbour RC Car Club Track which is situated at the most Northern part of the country’s biggest city Auckland. The event was somewhat of a sombre affair on the knowledge that the track was ear marked to be redeveloped into a swimming complex in a short few weeks after the event. Come qualifying, the weather played ball after months of rain in the region, the sun was out, and so were all challengers for this event.
