Tekno RC NT48 & ET48 TiNi rear shock shafts

Tekno RC NT48 & ET48 TiNi rear shock shafts

Tekno RC announce new TiNi-coated rear shock shafts for the NT48 nitro truggy and ET48 electric truggy. The shafts feature a Titanium-Nitride coating to ensure the smoothest operation in any condition. The surface treatment also provides improved strength and surface properties that allow the shaft to travel with less friction through the shock unit. The result is improved jump landing, bump handling and better consistency throughout a race. The shafts are sold in pairs and are available now.

JConcepts C4.2 narrow rear suspension mounts

JConcepts C4.2 narrow rear suspension mounts

JConcepts has dropped an additional option for C4.2 owners with the release of the narrow rear pivot suspension kit. The C4.2 comes stock with a slightly wider rear suspension pivot geometry which allows the vehicle to react appropriately in extremely high-grip conditions. However, when the traction is lower, additional swing is needed in the rear-end and justifies the narrow rear pivot suspension. By decreasing the size of the camber link, inner pivot virtual rectangle, the buggy transitions left to right quicker, applying force against the rear tires giving that moment of forgiveness. Drivers feel more confident as traction breaks allowing them to power down slightly quicker transitioning into a forward moment. This setup is especially good in medium to high traction conditions which drivers see on outdoor and indoor tracks throughout the year. The narrow pivot mounts must be used in conjunction with the #2323 C4.2 rear suspension kit to take full advantage of the rear suspension geometry. All parts, such as the front and rear plates and the pivot bushings are also available separately.

110% RC Racing clinic report

110% RC Racing clinic

The inaugural 110% RC Racing clinic is in the books and it was a huge success. Ty and Gord Tessmann sent us the following report. ‘There were 9 teams (one team couldn’t make it at the last minute) consisting of a driver and a mechanic.  The ages of the participants ranged from 9 to 47 yrs old, and as it turned out we had a lot of father and son duos participating.  The participants were very receptive to what we had to say and we were impressed by their willingness to learn.  Over the four days there were a lot of questions and the occasional debate.  We did see noticeable improvement in the participants driving from the first time on the track to the last time, they worked very hard.  The youngest driver, Peyton at 9 yrs old, reminded me of Ty when he was that age, very smooth and consistent on the track and very quiet, it was awesome to see a huge improvement in him.
