Gunther van Staey wins Belgian GP

Gunther van Staey wins Belgian GP

The Belgian Grand Prix was held at the Model Race Genk track this past weekend. Repeating his top performance from the Dutch 1/8th national round, ran four weeks ago at the same place, Gunther Van Staey outclassed his Belgian fellow drivers by taking both the pole and the win. German Mugen driver Tobias Hepp was the only driver who was able to stay in touch with Gunter but at around halfway into the final Tobias’ engine failed. This allowed Serpent driver Nico Vanwynckel, coming from 3rd, to move up to 2nd. Tim Vogels, 4th after the qualification, completed the podium in 3rd.
