Smokem XB4 carbon fibre shock towers

Smokem XB4 carbon fibre shock towers

Smokem Racing introduce their XB4-RR carbon fibre shock towers for the Xray XB4 buggy. At 3.5mm thick, these 100% carbon fibre shock towers offer improved strength over the stock 3mm towers, yet not too thick so they won’t adversely affect the shock geometry of the 2014 car’s variable rear shock mounting system. Furthermore they have incorporated additional shock mounting and camber link holes to allow racers to further fine-tune the handling of their XB4 and XB4’14 buggies and fully explore its full potential.

RPM Slash & Stampede ESC cage

RPM Slash & Stampede ESC cage

RPM introduce this speed controller cage for the use with Traxxas’ VXL-3S ESC. The cage is designed to eliminated the use of the two undersized speedo mounting tabs in favour of a complete cage system that solidly locks it in place. By completely surrounding and capturing the VXL-3S ESC, damage from broken tabs and ejection from the vehicle has been completely eliminated. The cage, that is available in black and blue colour, works with all VXL Stampede 4×4, Slash 4×4, Slash 2WD and Rally chassis and it can also be used with the Rustler, Stampede 2WD and Bandit when combined with the Traxxas #3725 mounting plate.

Dirk Wischnewski signs with Team Shepherd

Dirk Wischnewski signs with Team Shepherd

Shepherd Micro Racing announce that Worlds finalist and multiple European and German champion Dirk Wischnweski joins their factory racing team for 2014. Living close to the Shepherd company he will be heavily involved in the development of the Velox V10 Pro sharing his huge knowledge with the team. In the upcoming season Dirk will attend the ENS series, the EC in Valencia and the Worlds in Bangkok as well as some regional races giving track side assistance to fellow Shepherd racers. Dirk had the following to say:

First of all I would like to thank Xray for their support over the last few years but now it’s time for a new challenge. I’m really happy to work together with Patrick and the rest of the Shepherd crew for the future. It was not so easy for me to make a decision for the 2014 season but when I think about the small distance to the company and the great improvements Shepherd made on the Velox V10 last year I’m really optimistic and looking forward to attending the upcoming races.
