RDRP B74.2 Ultra Battery Mount Set

Revolution Design Racing Products has released this new B74.2 Ultra Battery Mount Set as the perfect solution to replace the original battery mount.  The kit supplied mount uses an O-ring to secure the battery while this RDRP set is a high-quality and precise alternative made from CNC-machined aluminium and carbon.  With this set, you can still accurately determine the battery position using the original inserts.  The advantage of this improved mount is the ease of handling when changing batteries.  The upper carbon plate can simply be swung to the side without the need for tools.

JConcepts ’78 Chevy & ’95 Ford Tucked bodies

JConcepts has release two ‘Tucked’ bodies intended for 1:10 RC crawlers, the 1978 Chevy K10 and the 1995 Ford F-150. Designed by JConcepts, the Tucked body layout creates more tire space, less overhang. Fitting the Traxxas TRX-4 Sport, Enduro, Axial 12.3″ wheelbase, on the Chevy the identifiable design detail of the retro piece is the center bulged section that runs the length of the shell. A vertical signal marker can be added thanks to the included and pre-trimmed JConcepts decal sheet. Extending off the center structure of the body, the blend flows nicely into the cab with large windows which are recessed for increased realism. The large front windshield produces a lot of scale visibility to look forward to the Tucked front nose for better handling characteristics. On the Ford, the design began by emulating body lines and language from various photos around the world and real world vehicles. Body panels feature slight curvature, upper notch familiar with early generation Ford trucks, and edged and kicked rocker panel at the bottom.

Phend & Rivkin take ROAR Carpet Offroad National titles

Dakotah Phend and Spencer Rivkin took the three main titles at this year’s ROAR Electric Carpet Off-Road Nationals over the weekend.  Hosted by Beachline Raceway in Florida, in qualifying it would be Phend who would take the TQ for both buggy classes, the 2WD pole position decided on tie breaker with Rivkin who would claim the TQ in Mod truck.  In 2WD Finals, reigning World Champion Rivkin would get by his rival in A1 and repeat that in A2 to clinch the title early.  Behind Phend in second Schumacher’s Broc Champlin would complete the overall podium.  In 4WD, Phend, having taken the TQ ahead of Xray’s Ty Tessmann, was untouchable  in A1 and 2 securing the title ahead of 4th place qualifier Champlin and Rivkin with Tessmann ending up 4th.  In Mod Truck, Phend got the better of pole sitter Rivkin while Champlin made it a trio of podiums in Florida.

TQ & Win for Kobbevik at Oslo Open Round 1

Schumacher’s Daniel Kobbevik took the TQ and win at the Oslo Open first round over the weekend with the same track set the host the opening round of the National Championship next weekend. After an insane job from the club to clear the track of snow and ice, it was ready for the first round and the first outside race of the season. The event also attracted National TV who attended to make an episode about youngsters and RC racing and how RC racing is connected more and more to motorsport. Attracting drivers from across Norway, the schedule allowed for just 4WD action. With three qualifier rounds and it started up with where it ended last year, with it possible to make 16 laps during a 5 minute run. The opening qualifier was close, and LRP/Schumacher driver Kobbevik was just 4.3 sec away from making the 16 laps. In round two he would get the 16 laps on 5.20.146, and Q3 was even better with a time if 5.19.072. With Kobbevik the Top Qualifier, behind the Yokomo’s of Victor Asak and Albin Ingholm completed the Top 3. In the finals Kobbevik wrapped up the win in A2 while the big battle was for the rest of the podium with Asak taking second ahead of the Team Associated of Peter Stein.

X-Partz BHC-1 Carbon Camber Mount Plate & Braces

More new X-Partz from X-Factory UK for the LC Racing BHC-1 mini buggy are this Carbon Fibre rear camber mount plate, front suspension brace and steering post brace.  The rear camber mount plate is machined from 5mm thick carbon and milled to size for the camber ballstuds.  X-Factory UK suggest the use of the longer 8mm ballstud with low profile M3 locknuts underneath for the most secure fitting. Compatible with the option sway bar set it is a direct replacement for the kit item but stronger and lighter.  The front suspension brace replaces the kit metal item without sacrificing strength whilst saving weight while the steering post brace replaces the kit plastic item, while being lightweight and offering more rigidity.

Klinik RC 1:8 Offroad adjustable brake collars

Klinik RC has released their new adjustable brake collars intended for 1:8 Offroad racing.  In the past brake bias has been a difficult adjustment to make that usually needs to be done on the bench by ‘feel’ prior to taking to the racetrack.  Balancing front to rear balance is critical to squeeze that last bit of speed into each corner and have stability at the same time. How many times have you said to yourself “I need a just touch more rear brake” on the drivers stand, only to forget to make the adjustment before the next run? Now you can make that adjustment right in pit lane in seconds!  Now all your pit person needs is a 5.5mm nut driver and he can make quick, easy, precise adjustments in just a few seconds. Our unique rounded ball collars allow for nearly 45deg angles to get around the fuel tank and make that quick adjustment!  Simply replace your standard brake collars with our adjustable brake collars and get on the track to get that perfect balance! One collar is black and one is red for easy identification of front/rear adjustments.
