Last weekend saw the first round of the PileCup and DRCMU championship series at the indoor track in Broendby, just outside of Copenhagen. 50 drivers attended the race and had a fantastic weekend, with a lot of close racing, good food, big trophies and good fun. Miguel wins Modified TC at Portuguese Touring Series

Hugo Miguel wins Modified TC at Portuguese Touring Series

The first round of the Portuguese Touring Series was held at the Monsanto track. The sugar-watered track and nice weather made for good racing all weekend in the Modified and Stock classes that were run very similar to the ETS rules. In the Modified class qualifying ARC driver Hugo Miguel was the man to beat as he won 3 out of the 4 rounds. João Miguel Martinho and Filipe Costa tried to put some pressure into Hugo, with João TQ’ing one round, but it wasn’t enough to beat Hugo’s performance. The finals were no different from qualifying with Hugo transforming his TQ into an overall win, followed by Filipe Costa and Miguel Martinho.
