DJ Apolaro wins ROAR Sedan Nationals

DJ Apolaro wins ROAR Sedan Nationals

This past weekend we had the 2011 National Championship Race held at the ControlFreakz track in Chaplin CT and DJ Apolaro sent us this report. All the big players had come out to claim the prize and fight it out for the top spot. I was running both classes, as in the US they combine 1/8 scale and Sedan. Paolo Morganti wins 1/8 ROAR Nationals

Paolo Morganti wins 1/8 ROAR Nationals

Paolo Morganti was in great shape in 1/8 scale class at the ROAR Nationals held in Chaplin USA last weekend. Due to rain, qualifying was run over just 3 rounds and it was Morganti who took the TQ honors with his Serpent 966 ahead of DJ Apolaro, Chris Tosolini and Joaquin deSoto. In the final Morganti kept a very high pace, only giving up the lead a few times when he pitted for fuel. He would eventually take the win by 2 laps from Capricorn team mates Chris Tosolini and Joaquin DeSoto in 2nd and 3rd.
