New from Axial are these 2.2 VWS beadlock wheels and spare rings for the XR10. The wheel set includes black laser etched beadlock rings and are compatible with Vanquish product’s patented wheel weight systems. Features a narrow offset to increase steering response and strength. Also new from Axial is their new Internal wheel weight system (Patent Pending) that allows for precise and easy addition of weight to your Axial 2.2 and 1.9 Beadlocks. Purchase the Internal Weight Ring to add weight and increase stability on difficult obstacles. To add even more weight use the Internal Wheel Weight Inserts to fine tune the total weight. Finally there is the new Hardline, a competition inspired body with the design, layout and size all catered for optimum performance. Meeting all U.S.R.C.C.A minimum requirements, the dove-tailed front and rear minimize interference with tires. A rounded roof line and cab forward design improve roll-over recovery, while a photo realistic die-cut premium vinyl decals include window frames, headlight, grille, tail lights and more.

JR Mitch wins R/C Pro State Series Rd4

WOW Raceway in Clermont, FL hosted round 4 of the popular R/C Pro Series.  With a competitive crowd and packed pit area, Florida racers were once again ready to go, putting in the late hours and heavy wrenching for a shot at Saturday glory.  With 100 degree weather throughout the day, all equipment was put to the test. Taking early TQ in the pro 1/8th buggy class was Serpent ace driver Billy Easton. The first round of qualifying seemed to be smoothest for Billy and JR Mitch, with Billy holding a small advantage in overall time. Jason Ruona put in his best run in round 2, placing him 3rd on the grid.

Traditionally, the Hot Rod Hobbies Offroad Shootout has been a major event on the electric offroad series and this year was no different. The racers were greeted with a great track layout that was fair and had a wide range of obstacles from rollers, to triples, step-downs, step-ups and elevation change.

LRP ZR.21X Spec 2 buggy engine

LRP have released their ZR.21X Spec 2 buggy engine, which is a completely new nitro engine compared to the previously available version. For a significantly better heat dissipation the engine received a new cooling head with tapered fins, as well as a finned combustion chamber to keep the temperature of the glow plug in check. The new carburetor feature changeable 6.0 & 7.0mm venturi inserts and instead of the usual aluminium the carburetor is made from the more rigid Ergal alloy, the result being much smoother running.
