DE Racing RC8 & RC8T mud guards

DE Racing RC8 & RC8T mud guards

DE Racing have released two new additions to their line of mud guards with the introduction of versions for the Associated RC8, RC8B & SC8 and the RC8T. Engineered to be direct installation parts, with no additional body trimming or added holes to the suspension arms required, they install in minutes and will protect the rear suspension and drive train components from damage or contamination from rocks, dirt or mud. Proudly designed and manufactured in the U.S.A. from scuff resistant plastic, these mud guards will withstand much more abuse than a thin lexan, or carbon fiber plate and are the latest must have item for your buggy and truggy.

Bitty Design 8ight EU Fighter shell

Bitty Design 8ight EU Fighter shell

Having shown us their prototype Losi 8ight EU Fighter body shell last month, Bitty Design were in touch to tell us that their new body has been finalised and is now available. The new EU style shell features a fin along the top along with more pronounced channel over the back of the car to improve the downforce in high speed turns. Also thanks to a new air scoop situated along the side of the cockpit, the throttle and brake linkages don’t rub off the inside of the shell when in operation. Developed by Factory Losi driver Riccardo Rabitti, this new body has already won the 2nd round of the Italian Championships.

BRCC get permanent indoor track in Charleroi

BRCC get permanent indoor track in Charleroi

Belgian electro Off-road racing club BRCC have announced that they now have a permanent indoor track in Charleroi, Lodelinsart. Jean-Paul Voumart and his BRCC-crew have been the organising force behind the well-known EIR-races and also recently a 24 hour Endurance race. Having previously rented the venue for certain weekends, the track would always have to be rebuilt each weekend, but now they have exclusive use of the venue so the astroturf will remain down permanently and although they currently have a good layout, it can be changed, as the astroturf-mat covers the complete track-surface. Plans are underway that will see the BRCC again organising the BRCC Winter Trophy and of course future EIR-races & Belgian Nationals and drivers will be able to train on the permanent indoor astroturf track in between races.

Yannick Aigoin wins Rd3 of French Nats

Last weekend saw the third round of the French 1/8th scale buggy Nationals run at Dolus D’Oléron on the west coast. Qualifying saw Losi/Novarossi driver Yannick Aigoin take the top spot followed by Xray/RB driver Jerome Sartel in 2nd and championship leader Jerome Aigoin with his Kyosho/Novarossi in 3rd. A disaster for Jerome Aigoin in the semi final meant he wouldn’t take part in the final, while Yannick and Sartel both won their Semi finals. With Yannick starting from the pole position, he romped ahead to win the hour long race by 2 laps ahead of Sartel in 2nd, with Mugen/Novarossi driver Guillaume Vray claiming 3rd, 11 seconds further back.
