Reckward Tuning Stationary Balancer

Reckward Tuning Stationary Balancer

Vita Tuning have announced the impending release of this Stationary Wheel Balancer, which will be made available under the Reckward Tuning brand. Suitable for all off road wheels with a 17mm wheel axle, this system sees the wheel rotate itself to the heavier point, making identification of unequal weight distribution easier. Through the use of plastescine the user can then balance up the wheels and easily re-check them.

K-Factory HiFL Dual Intake Air Filter

K-Factory HiFL Dual Intake Air Filter

K Factory have released their HiFL Off-Road Dual Intake Air Filter, developed to be the most efficient and easy-to-maintain off road air filter available. The Dual Intake design dramatically reduces air turbulence within the filter and allows air to flow smoothly and unrestricted, which means your engine breathes better and as a result operates at maximum power without stalling. The dual stage foam filter traps dust and debris that could ruin your motor, yet allows the free flow of air to keep your engine running smoothly, while the lightweight design eliminates drag and helps reduce overall vehicle weight.

Tamiya TRF801X Competition truggy

Tamiya TRF801X Competition truggy

More new products from the RCX show in California as US Magazine RCCA spotted a new competition truggy on the Tamiya stand. Named the TRF801X, this is still a concept car and as such there is little more concrete information known about it other than it will be aimed squarely at the competition market. It looks that Tamiya has perhaps smartly skipped the over crowded buggy market to get a head start on the still emerging truggy market.

Darren Johnston wins NZ 4wd buggy Nats

The New Zealand Electric off road National Championships were run last weekend at the Hawkes Bay Radio Control Club’s permanent track in Hastings. In the 4wd class, Rainey couldn’t manage to do the double as Johnston, driving a B44, was able to take the win in the first 2 finals with good times to sew up the overall title from Perry Field in 2nd, with pole man Rainey ending up in 3rd.

Full results from the event can be found here.

Pro-Line B44 & B4 Vortex shells

Pro-Line B44 & B4 Vortex shells

New from Pro-Line for both the Associated B44 and B4, is the Vortex. Designed to give your car the latest in off-road styling and function, the Vortex was born from today’s top electric racer and IFMAR Off-Road World Champion, Ryan Cavalieri. “We need a body that will better cool the brushless systems we are using and looks like it is ready to compete,” says Ryan Cavalieri. So Ryan, along with Pro-Line’s body moulding expert, set out to create something that would improve the overall performance of the car’s electronics as well as the car’s performance on the track. With some unique cooling features, the Vortex received it’s name, which means ‘a whirling mass of air, especially one in the form of a visible column or spiral, as a tornado’. This is exactly what is created with such ventilation as the Vortex. Both bodies are made with Genuine GE .030 lexan and supplied with 2 medium down force wings, window mask, and Paint-then-peel overspray film.
