Vataniyapramote & Chaidajsuriya win FEMCA titles

The 2010 FEMCA Circuit Championships took place last weekend in Hong Kong for both 1/8th and 1/10th scale gas on road. With rain affecting the event it was Thai driver Suruth Vataniyapramote that took the win to lead home a Serpent 1-2-3-4 with Hong drivers Christopher Cheung and Choy Kam Man completing the podium. In the 1/10th class it was again a Thai driver, this time former TC world Champion Surikarn Chaidajsuriya that took the win from the pole spot in front of local racer Hung Cheung Hang driving a KM chassis, with Kyosho racer Jalaludin Azri Amri from Brunei…

Kyosho KF01 GP Formula 1 chassis

Kyosho have released details on their new gas powered Formula 1 chassis, the KF01. The simple flat pan chassis is made from 3mm thick aluminium for strength and durability. Up front, the upper wishbone length is adjustable to allow you to change the angle of the front kingpin to change the car’s camber, while the rear end features the same axle suspension system as on the Spada. CSO Kyosho Carbon chassis & Alu pinions

CSO products in Hong Kong have released some more gas car options, this time for Kyosho cars. Starting with this new chassis plate, it has been made from 3.1mm thick carbon fibre and is suitable for the Kyosho V3S, 3SR and 3R Evo 2 WC. David Ronnefalk takes victory at Nitromania X

David Ronnefalk has won the gas buggy class at the Nitromania X event being held in Belgium this weekend. The young Swede was top qualifier with his Team Orion powered Kyosho, but a poor semi final meant he would start the main final from 11th on the grid. Following some early lead changes Losi/Novarossi man Adam Drake took over at the front and extended his lead out to a lap followed by Ronnefalk in 2nd and Elliot Boots in 3rd. New Zealand South Island Champs

The New Zealand South Island Champs for on road Gas and Electric were held recently on the Ruapuna track in Christchurch. The weather was great for the 64 entrants spread over 4 Electric classes and 3 Nitro classes. After 5 rounds of qualifying it was very close in most classes with 8th gas being the closest with the top 6 separated by only 6 seconds.
