Thomas Desmaries wins 2009 French Cup

The French National Cup for 1/10th scale gas took place recently in Normandy in the North of France. After qualifying, it was Mugen Seiki driver Thomas Desmaries that took the pole position ahead of Kyosho driver Nicolas Bougnoteau in 2nd and Basile Concialdi driving the Xray NT1 lining up in 3rd position. In the final, there was a race long battle up front with Desmaries or Concialdi inseparable after 45 minutes of racing. In the end the race was won by Thomas Desmaries, only 2 seconds clear of second place Basile Concialdi, with the last step of the podium going…

New South Wales State Gas title report

…41 with Nicholson close behind Reade on track, a passing incident lost a handful of seconds for Reade and the race swung into Nicholson’s hands. Reade regained composure and continued his pursuit of Nicholson, but the Kyosho / Sirio was holding it’s own on track and crews were equal to the task in the pits. Kerr was haunting the two leaders on track but fell short of the finish and allowed Jeff Hamon through for the third place on the podium, Simon Nicholson and Chris Reade held their positions to the finish line. Tebo & Maifield win Neo 09

Our Creme egg infatuated friends at oOple have been reporting all weekend from the Neo 09 race, the annual indoor buggy race which this year takes place in the UK. Associated racer Ryan Maifield took TQ in Electric 8th and took the first and third leg to take overall victory. The third leg had to be re-run after a disastrous error when it was run for 5 minutes instead of 10 – but Maifield won both anyway. U.S. Spectacular – Team Orion CRF 21 Buggy US Spec

Introduced in 2005 the Team Orion CRF engines made some impact on the market with their completely different crankshaft design that was developed by Fabrice Ramella. Hence the name ‘CRF’ (which stands for Concept Ramella Fabrice). The idea behind the CRF technology is to have better control over the mixture that flows from the carburettor through the crankshaft into the combustion chamber.
