Edam Razor 1/8 scale on-road car

There is a new gas powered 1/8th scale on the market, from the Taiwanese company Edam. Its called the Razor and it has been created from the ashes of the Yusa XR8 project which seemingly stopped some time ago. Apparently featuring all new moulds for precise fitting of parts, as well as making the parts more durable, this prototype car looks like a mashup between a Kyosho Evolva and the Serpent Vector, with a few other parts thrown in for good measure. Maifield tops Rd1 of ROAR Nats qualifying

Rain has been heavily effecting this weekends ROAR Gas Buggy Nationals that are being held at the St. Louis Dirt Burners track in Missouri. With the weather basically eliminating all but a handful of practice sessions for the 300+ entries setups have not been perfected heading into qualifying. Yesterday saw the first round of qualifying, take place under dry weather conditions but on a track that is still soft from the rain. Can-Am Challenge / RC-Pro Series Rd1

…for the bump up spot till the last second. Rounding out the B-main were: Mark Unger, Dan Engelbreth, Gary Swayze, Dennis Young, Patrick Chan, Art Trinos, Raye Field and Peter Yu. Goo Gi-Bon wins Kyosho Cup, Korea

Xray are reporting on their teams performance at the recent Kyosho Cup, a touring car race in Korea for gas powered 200mm 1/10th scale cars. In what was a close final it was Goo Gi-Bon that took the win for Xray, his 3rd straight win in a month, ahead of Serpent 720 driver Jang Ji-Whan in 2nd, while 3rd place went to another Xray NT1 racer, Kim Gi-Yul. Peterson & Neuspeed dominate the Hank Perry 240

…in its 21st year and is one of the largest races in the Northwest. Now Kyosho have been in contact to let us know that their team driver Taylor Peterson qualified third in truggy with his long wheelbase Kyosho ST-R, but quickly ran to the front and checked out, lapping the while field for a decisive win, Peterson also TQ’ed and won the 1/10 truck gas truck class.
