Cuypers, Reiche and Diekmann leading at halftime

In 1:8 scale class 1 20 racers competed at the 268 meter track of Dormagen with ARC racer Tobias Hepp taking pole position in front of Michael Salven (Serpent) and John Ermen (ARC). While reigning champion Ermen was stopped in his semifinal after hitting the concrete barriers, Hepp won his semi in front of ARC fellow Christian Wurst and Shepherd racer Frank Schewiola. Nitro-West-Masters Rd1 – Report

A record of 71 entries had been received for the season opener of the 2015 Nitro-West-Masters (NWM). The seventh season of this growing championship for 1/8th and 1/10th nitro on-road cars in Western Germany and the Netherlands kicked-off at the legendary 234-meter track in downtown Oberhausen. Western German Championship Rd2 – Report

Ermen & Rausch take West German championships

…weekend with 13 cars, followed by 10 Shepherd, 8 Xray and Mugen each, 2 Capricorn and one KM and Motonica each. A total of 75 drivers made it into the points ranking of the 2014 Western German Championship, ten less than one year ago. In details, there were two less in 1/8 class 1, two more in 1/8 class 2 but ten less in 1/10. Nitro-West-Masters Rd3 – Report

…leading manufacturer with a total of twelve chassis among the 41 participants followed in this ranking by nine Xray and Mugen each, six Shepherd, two Kyosho and Capricorn each and one. There will be two more races in Western Germany in July, the fourth round of the Western German Championship on July 12th to 13th at Hamm as the final qualifier for the German Nationals and round 4 of the Nitro-West-Masters on July 26th and 27th at the Haltern track. Carsten Keller wins at German nats qualifier in Kürten

The second of only two Western Germany 1/8th off-road regional rounds was run at the Modellfreunde Kürten track. Kyosho’s Carsten Keller was able to take the win in the 40 minute final despite being hindered by a wrong tyre choice. At the end he took the win some two laps ahead of Jan Sievert with Sven Sievert finishing another lap down. Maik Wiesweg and Chris Kammann completed the top 5 result. Western Germany IC on-road regionals Rd3 – Report

Following a somewhat brief report of the recent Western Germany nitro on-road regionals we now have a more in-depth report available. Reigning champion Christian Wurst has taken his first win of this season in the Western German Championship to put him to the lead in the overall ranking of the 1/8 scale class 1 nitro on-road category. Other winners at round three of the regional championship held on the famous Oberhausen track were young Philipp Roemer in 1/8 scale class 2 and Thilo Toedtmann in 1/10 scale. Oberhausen registered 51 entries with finally 50 participants joining a pleasurable racing weekend…
