Shepherd Racing Velox 1/8th scale

We first reported on the Robert Pietsch designed Shepherd Racing Velox 1/8th scale back in February when it was shown for the first time at the Nurnberg toy fair. We now have more detailed pictures of the car and an explanation, from the guys at Shepherd Racing, on how the cars innovative rear braking system works and below we have created a small diagram to show this function. SMI announce German NT1 Team

SMI, the German importers of Xray cars, has announced on their site the 11 strong team that will contest the German Nationals driving the Slovakian manufacturers new 200mm chassis, the NT1. For the southern region they have Alexander Stocker, Thomas Günsel, Michael Heinrich and Robert Pietsch, the latter if you recall is the designer of the Shepherd Velox 07. Shepherd Racing Velox 07 prototype

German manufacturer Shepherd are present at the toy fair and are showing off their new Velox 07 1/8th scale 4wd chassis (click image for bigger pic). From what we can see the rear end looks similar to the Speed that they currently have on the market, but the radio plate layout and front end looks completely new. This will be the first results of Shepherds hook up with Robert Pietsch that we announced 2 weeks ago.
