Florian Joos wins at Longwy Winter Series finale

The final round of the Longwy Winter Series was held over the weekend with the hosting club once again providing a nice and challenging layout with the track for the final round being a pretty fast one. In Touring Stock Expert it was Florian Joos with the overall TQ from Joe Streff and Nicolas Delisé. Florian went on to win A1 and A2, however he had to withstand a lot of pressure from both Nicolas and Joe. Nevertheless Florian took the overall win, even with a tweaked car as his mechanic put some suspension inserts in the wrong way. Behind Florian Joe and Nicolas came in 2nd and 3rd overall.

2019/20 Mibosport Cup Rd5 – Report

The fifth and final round of the Mibosport Cup was held this past weekend, once again attracting a very healthy field of over 200 drivers for the electric on-road and off-road classes. The event was a special one for the overall championships as to make things more interesting, the organisers decided to serve more points than usual on the final encounter, ensuring all drivers were pushing really hard as nothing was set in stone in the overall rankings going into the final round. Beside the usual suspects the final round attracted some special names, mainly in the off-road classes, such as Jörn Neumann, who found the way to the Czech Republick after a long time as did young and very talented Jessica Palsson from Sweden. However, starting with the on-road classes and in Touring Modified, Oliver Havranek was the man to beat. But it was not smooth sailing for him. Matej Sulc held the TQ spot after the qualifiers but in the end Matej wasn’t able to fend off Oliver who brought home the win from Matej in 2nd. Petr Grof secured P3, Kuba Simurda came in 4th and Martin Kratochvil finished in 5th.

The result is a straighter drivetrain assembly as thus less chassis tweak that can disturb proper car handling. The rod is made of high-quality carbon fibre, it features machined aluminium end caps and a machined hole in the middle section that makes way for the car’s spur gear.

Rebellion-RC T4’20 Crossflex aluminium chassis

RC-Carbonstore have introduced their new Rebellion-RC Crossflex aluminium chassis for the popular Xray T4 2020 mid-motor touring car. The chassis was developed for the use in medium to high-bite traction conditions with its highly machined design allowing for optimised flex characteristics that can be greatly influenced with the use of up to twelve optional brass inserts that not only add weight in the lowest area of the chassis, but they can also be used to change the overall torsional flex characteristics. The idea was to become able to adjust the weight-balance as well as the flex individually with every insert by using different fixing positions without the need of changing the whole chassis; with a standard chassis being always hard front/rear or soft front/rear, but not hard front/soft rear. When the brass inserts are fixed at a 90 degree angle to the driving direction they almost have no influence to the flex, but if attached using the remaining – cross-positioned – mounting points, the inserts decrease the flex. To make the system work the fixing points for the “hard” setting are 0.3mm lowered to make for a free movement at “flex” setting, and when using the “hard” setting drivers need to insert the included 0.3mm shims to be able to access the desired “hard” flex settings. The chassis is machined from high-quality aluminium, it comes black anodised for wear and looks, features a laser-engraved Rebellion-RC logo and it weighs in at 83g alone and up to 130.9g using the optional brass inserts.
