Losi 1/10 Tenacity DB Pro 4WD Desert Buggy Brushless RTR

Horizon Hobby have introduced the new Losi 1/10 Tenacity DB Pro 4WD RTR Brushless Desert Buggy. The Tenacity DB Pro builds on the proven TEN platform and includes a full metric hardware package and aluminium features. This desert buggy features all the technological advances drivers demand including the Spektrum Smart 130A brushless ESC and Spektrum Firma 4-Pole 3150KV 550 motor allowing owners to hit 80km/h with a 3-cell LiPo battery. The ESC is waterproof, completely programmable and comes pre-wired with a high-current IC5 connector. Drivers stay in control with a DX2E Active transmitter, a Spektrum AVC receiver with steering priority, and scale-to-size Falken Wildpeak MT tyres and Method wheels. Finally, the Tenacity DB has a scale-inspired Desert Buggy body along with a new wing and off-road buggy inspired wheel design that looks good in the backyard and out in the desert blasting berms. The buggy will become available in Fox Racing or Lucas Oil designs and will hit stores soon.

Performa Racing pre-glued 1/8th buggy tyres

Performa Racing have announced the release of their new pre-glued tyres for 1/8th nitro and electric buggies. First up is the Khaos tyre that was designed for loose dirt tracks with the racing line being visible, for clay, blue groove or damp tracks. Hundreds of wide rectangular lugs spaced around the carcass provide excellent forward traction and mud-slinging ability to keep the treads clear from dirt build-up.

T-Works A319 aluminium shock standoffs

Coming from T-Works and made for the Agama A319 1/8th off-road buggy are new lightweight aluminium shock standoffs. Machined from aircraft-grade 7075-T6 material and coming with a hard surface coating for reduced wear, the standoffs are available as a 4-piece pack in standard length and as 2-piece sets in +4mm or +5mm specification with the added length changing the shock angle which can be beneficial when run in the rear of the buggy. Includes in the sets comes suitable mounting hardware.

Power HD introduce new Storm S-series HV servos

Coming soon from Power HD are their new Storm S-Series HV servos for professional racing applications. All servos feature all-aluminium housings in a 2-tone anodising that is available with silver, red or gold-colour details while the geartrains are made up using high-quality aluminium and steel gears. Japanese Noble potentiometers ensure highest possible precision and an updated PCB supports SSR and SUR modes. The line will include the S15 low-profile and S25 and S35 standard size servos all of which are usable with 6V to 8.4V input. Full details will become available in time of the release.

1up Racing precision aluminium shims

1up Racing have introduced their new precision aluminium shims. They are cut on a CNC lathe to strict tolerances before receiving their glossy black anodised finish. They can be used with M3 screws or ball studs, or with any 3mm pins to ensure accurate settings every time. The shims come in 12-piece bags and are available in 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2 and 3mm thicknesses.

Traxxas X-Maxx & E-Revo body reinforcements

Traxxas have announced the release of new body reinforcement sets for the X-Maxx and E-Revo trucks. These tough ballistic nylon body reinforcements strengthen critical areas for increased protection during rollovers and hard landings. They install in just minutes and help prevent screws from pulling through the body under extreme conditions. The multi-piece sets are available separately for the X-Maxx and E-Revo body shells.

Yokomo 4WD buggy prototype shown at IFMAR Worlds

During this week’s IFMAR 1/10th Off-road World Championships in Trencin, Slovakia Yokomo are campaigning a prototype 4WD buggy. The shaft-driven vehicle is using the 2017 World Championship YZ-4 SF as a base, however it utilises a new motor mount and centre drivetrain layout with the motor sitting behind the servo while the shorty battery is placed on the left front side of the chassis, opposite the steering servo. The speed controller and receiver will find a new home in the rear part of the chassis that features long front and a short rear centre driveshafts. The suspension components are taken over from the previous YZ-4 SF, meaning the prototype features basically a weight bias and possibly chassis flex update. Kyosho introduce new Fazer option parts

Kyosho have announced the release of new option parts for their Fazer series of on-road and off-road kits. First up is an aluminium servo saver kit that replaces the standard plastic parts for a more sturdy and precise construction. This results in a more accurate steering feeling and improved durability. The servo saver is usable for all Fazer Mk2 and FZ02 kits.
