Jilles Groskamp joins Tamiya – Interview

After much speculation about the future of top Dutch International electric racer Jilles Groskamp, we can confirm to you that he has signed to Tamiya. Jilles, who has raced for Xray for the past 6 years, leaves behind a succesful term at the Slovakian manufacturer that has seen him win many major races as well as make the final for multiple European and World Championships. Jilles Groskamp joins SMC

SMC Europe have today announced that top International electric R/C racer Jilles Groskamp from the Netherlands has signed up to use their products. With an impressive list of race results, like 2-times Snowbirds winner, multiple A-finalist at European and World Championships as well as many other wins, Jilles was looking for the best batteries with maximum power and found them at SMC. Richard Keur wins Rd4 of Dutch 200mm Nationals

This weekend saw the 4th round of the Dutch 200mm Nationals take place at the world famous MACH track in Heemstede, just outside Amsterdam. The weather was sunny and dry and the event was open to the main NK class, as well as the 200mm Nomac class and the Promo class for 1/8th scale. In qualifying it was European Championship runner up Jilles Groskamp, racing for Xray, that took the pole position by a huge 6 seconds ahead of 2nd placed Remy Moller racing for Serpent while 3rd qualifier was Kyosho racer Daan Jacobs and 4th spot, and final direct…

Dario Balestri wins 2007 1/10th scale European Championships

…he won that final for a place in the semi, which he also won, to line up 5th for the 45 minute A-Final. After some great driving and having some luck come his way, the Team Magic driver crossed the line in 1st place to claim the 2007 crown. A fast charging Jilles Groskamp from Holland was 2nd for Xray while young Italian European ‘B’ Champion Alessio Mazzeo was 3rd for Serpent.
