PSM DTC & HTC touring car aluminium chassis

Following a first teaser image, PSM from Germany have finally unveiled their new DTC and HTC touring car aluminium main chassis plates. These unique chassis have been specially developed to suit medium-low and medium-high grip conditions. The DTC Delta Traction Characteristics chassis feature delta shaped cut-outs to provide soft torsion characteristics along with consistent performance. The softer flex allows the car to generate more mechanical grip, which is helpful in low grip conditions and/or very tight tracks.

Muchmore Fleta Pro V2 Revolution 1S speed controller

Muchmore have introduced their new Fleta Pro V2 Revolution 1S brushless speed controller for 1/12th scale applications. Featuring a redesigned all-aluminium case the controller offers better heat dissipation compared to the previous variant while the internal switch system makes wiring a lot more convenient. On top of this the integrated on/off switch also acts as a status LED signal and setup calibration button. Included with the controller also comes a new SHR program card connection wire that is needed to access the ESCs various software parameters.

Yeah Racing M-08 alloy & titanium optionals

Yeah Racing have announced the release of new optional parts for the Tamiya M-08 M-chassis on-road car. First up is an aluminium steering assembly that was designed to replace the standard plastic parts for a ball-raced construction that adds both precision and strength. Machined from high-quality 7075 alloy and coming black anodised, the alloy steering ball cranks and steering plate will greatly improve stability while the ball bearings ensure smooth steering action while taking out most of the slop experienced with the original design. The steering set is a direct fit and it will hit stores very soon.

Ragaut & Berthoud win at Coupe de France

The RACG Grenoble club held the Coupe de France electric on-road race last weekend in several electric on-road classes. In Touring Modified it was Hugo Ragaut with the overall TQ from Cyril N’diaye on the P2 spot after the qualifiers. The single 10-minutes A-main event again saw Hugo coming out on top, leaving behind Cyril in 2nd place some nine seconds behind. Behind the three it was Jeremy Limoges who would round out the top 3 podium result.

BRCA Touring Car Nationals finale – Report

The final round of this year’s BRCA Touring Car Nationals were held at the iconic Aldershot last weekend. Heading into it both classes were yet to be decided. In Modified, Olly Jefferies has been battling hard with Elliott Harper all season and either of them could take the championship and in Stock the battle would be between Schumacher’s James Hart and Zak Finlay with Colin Jackson having an outside chance. In Modified Olly dominated proceedings with his prototype Schumacher chassis, winning all four rounds locking out TQ for the meeting. His rival Elliott Harper (Xray) would line up second from Team Associated’s Zak Smith who was also very fast this weekend.

Billy Fletcher joins Awesomatix factory team

Awesomatix have announced the signing of UK Stock Touring Car specialist, Billy Fletcher to their factory team. The former UK Clubman’s champion and nationals podium finisher will campaign the A800X Evo kit at all major races across England and Europe. Billy has following to say:

Happy to announce that I am heading back to the Awesomatix family and work with them on the presence in the UK. My main focus will be the 17,5T and 13,5T stock classes where the competition got massively higher during the merge of Boosted and Blinky class. Massive thanks to Max Mächler and Gareth Hollis for this opportunity and I’m looking forward to working with all the Awesomatix drivers.

Infinity World Challenge – Report

Last weekend the Infinity World Challenge Race was held at the Morac Ring in Austria. In the 1/8th IC Track class it was Nejc Mihelic with the round TQ in Q1 from Branislav Panak in 2nd. Q2 was lead by Branislav most of the time but a last lap mistake allowed Tomas Liptak to TQ the round. Overall however it was Nejc Mihelic with the TQ after the qualifiers. In the first of the two finals it was a clean run for Nejc Mihelic as he managed to run away from Branislav and Tomas while the two battled for 2nd position. The battle was lost for Branislav later as he ran out of fuel on lap 52 and then again on the last lap so it was an easy win for Nejc who would finish 1 lap ahead of Tomas and 2 laps in front of Branislav.

Tamiya have released a first teaser image of their forthcoming new TRF420 electric touring car kit. The highly anticipated car looks to be a complete redesign with updated suspension components such as lower arms, insert-equipped arm mounts, new steering knuckles, new front and rear bulkheads, updated servo and battery mounts and possibly a lot more details not visible in this single image.
