Reedy Sonic S-Plus 25.5 motor

Reedy’s Sonic S-Plus motor is now available in a version that meets ROAR’s unique guidelines for 25.5 turn motors typically used in Formula and VTA racing classes. Maximum power output is achieved thanks to near-minimum resistance measurements and a high-strength balanced rotor. In addition to increased power output, reduced weight improves handling and chassis-turning flexibility. Additionally, the motor’s length has been shortened by more than 2mm, which aids left/right balance and moves mass towards the centre of the chassis. Finally, precision stainless steel ball bearings have been fitted to accommodate high RPM loads with exceptional efficiency and reliability.

RC Maker TC bellcrank ackermann shim plates

New from RC Maker are these simple ackermann plates which slide into the bell crank steering on most cars and allow to change the ackermann geometry without totally unscrewing the ball studs to install a shim, which can be a fiddly job. They install by simply loosening the ball studs and sliding the plates in or out and tightening. The set consists of two plates, one 0.5mm and one 1mm, allowing to tune your the steering ackermann from 0.5-1.5mm in 0.5mm increments. These fit the Xray T4, Yokomo BD9, Infinity IF14, Awesomatix A800X, ARC R11 and any other car with bell crank ballstud spacing of 8.0-8.5mm.

Sobue & Ratheisky extend OneTen winning streaks

Akio Sobue has maintained his perfect record at the 2018/19 OneTen Series presented by Infinity having taken the win in the 8-minute A-main here in Guangzhou. In the end, the top 4 finished in the positions they started with Sawada crossing the line in 2nd, while Nicholas Lee and Jan Ratheisky, who had a good battle early on, completed the top 4 with Haoran Ma in 5th. The talk before the race was trying to finish the 8 minutes on this high speed track and Sobue said he drove the race very smoothly, having pushed hard in the first few laps to build a gap. He was able to maintain his lead and in the end had a lot of power left in his 6300mAh cells. Despite having taken the title, the Infinity driver said he will for sure be in Hong Kong for the final two rounds saying he is aiming for a perfect score in the series.
