MIP Unlimited Desert Racer X-Duty centre drive kit

MIP have introduced the X-Duty rear centre shaft kit for the Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer. Made as a solid steel CVD shaft, the MIP X-Duty centre shaft is designed and built to handle any and all driving conditions. The shaft requires no modifications, simply install it in the UDR and it also utilises X-Duty couplings and hardware for easy rebuilding. The shaft is also tuned length to ensure the shaft never bottoms out when the chassis flexes resulting in a longer lasting shaft. The drive shaft is made so tough, it easily withstands 6S LiPo power and all rigours of bashing.

SMJ Ultra joint lubricant & grease

Coming from SMJ are their new Ultra joint lubricant and grease, two chemicals developed to reduce drivetrain wear. First up is the Ultra joint lubricant, a lower viscosity oil for all metal-to-metal combinations such as driveshafts and outdrives. The lube greatly reduces wear to cross pins, couplers, driveshafts and wheel axles and thanks to its low viscosity it still sticks perfectly to the parts, offering a free drivetrain feeling and improved drivetrain efficiency. Also new is the Ultra joint grease, a heavy duty product for driveshafts, cup joints and thrust bearings whose high viscosity allows for high adhesion and less chance of flinging away even under high loads or high RPM. Both products were developed in cooperation with full-scale car tuning brand G-max and they are available now.

Gizmo introduce new Genesis & GZ2 optionals

Reflex Racing have introduced new optionals for the Gizmo Genesis and GZ2 touring cars. First up is a long arm conversion kit that has been designed for the use in combination with the V2 uprights. Contrary to typical longer arms, these arms actually make the suspension act softer as the distance between lower shock mounts and outer arm pivot has been increased. The pivot of the uprights has been moved out further which in the front end allows for less wheel scrub as well as more wheel support. The result is a more precise car, with more stability and higher corner speeds. The conversion works with the Genesis and GZ2 kits, however the latter requires the use of angled ball ends for rear toe link.
