Ultimate Racing 8500mAh & 7000mAh LiHV batteries

Modelix Racing have introduced the new Ultimate Racing 8500mAh and 7000mAh LiHV battery packs. The standard-size batteries are built using high-quality silicon graphene cells for a low internal resistance and exceptional power supply in both modified and stock racing classes. The 8500mAh variant is 25mm tall and weighs in at 305g while the 7000mAh low-profile battery is 22mm high, weighing in at 278g. Both utilise a protective hardcases and high-current 5mm connectors.

Mattia Polito dominates Kyosho International Meeting

The Campogalliano track in Modena, Italy played host to the 17th Kyosho International Meeting last weekend. In the F1 Expert Nitro Buggy class it was young Mattia Polito who scored the hattrick of TQ, win and fastest lap, leaving behind Elliott Boots in 2nd and Fabrizio Teghesi in 3rd.

MIP Pro-MT 4×4 HD pivot ball set

Made for Pro-Line’s Pro-MT monster truck is a new pivot ball set from MIP. They were designed to replace the standard items with sturdier and more durable ones, doing away with breaking issues associated with the original PL parts. MIP increased the diameter where the shoulder and threading meet for increased strength as well as manufactured these pivot balls using high impact alloy steel. The suspension balls are direct replacements and they come in sets of two.

Kyosho Inferno MP9 TKI9 ReadySet nitro buggy

Kyosho’s successful and popular Inferno MP9 TKI4 1/8th scale nitro off-road buggy is soon also available in ReadySet RTR specification. The kit builds on the 8-time World Championship winning Inferno platform and utilises the TKI4’s signature long front suspension arms and 17.5 degree C-hubs. Other features include a cab forward body shell and the high-torque KE21SP recoil starter engine and tuned exhaust. The kit is rounded out by KS5031-09MW servos and a 2.4GHZ radio system.

Wollanka & Horninger win at Austrian GP Buggy Nats

Wölbling in Austria played host to the third round of the Austrian Nitro Buggy Nationals this past weekend. SWorkz’s Martin Wollanka (SWorkz/Picco/TPro) took the win in front of Patrik Schweinzer (Mugen/Novarossi/Pro-Line) 2nd and Dominic Bauer (Mugen/ Ninja/Pro-Line) 3rd. Over in the 40+ class it was Georg Horninger(SWorkz/MW-Picco/TPro) with the win from Mario Penn (HB Racing/Team Orion/TPro) as Heinz Müller (SWorkz/MW-Picco/TPro) snatched the final podium spot.

Arredondo & Miller win at JBRL Electric Series Rd6

Round 6 of this year’s JBRL Electric Off-road Series was hosted by Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair, California this past weekend. The race was held in the usual mix of modified and stock classes and in the premier class of 2WD Open Buggy it was Tekno RC’s Carlos Arredondo, driving a Team Associated buggy with the win from the Team Associated duo of Johnathan Schultz and Nick Miller in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

2018 Nordic Championships – Report

The 2018 1/8th Off-road Nordics were held at the Fullspeed RC racing Arena in Vantaa, Finland over the weekend. Even tough the race is called the Nordics, drivers from other countries were also welcomed to join. This time the most drivers came from Finland with Estonia being the second most represented country. The event kicked off on Friday with a day of practice with Saturday being qualification day and from the get go Joseph Quagraine with his own JQRacing car and Lauri Ruotsalainen driving a Team Associated showed good speed taking the first and second spot in Q1. Later Joona Haatanen showed great speed, taking Q2 and Q3 with his Team Associated in front of Joseph Quagraine and Max Mört.

Hofer & Kaufmann win at Swiss Buggy Nats Rd5

Round 5 of the Swiss 1/8th Nitro Buggy Championship was held in Morges this past weekend. Just over 100 drivers registered for the race that was held on a temporary grass track near the Lake of Geneva. Patrick Hofer in Expert and Noah Kaufmann in the Amateur class took the overall TQ in their respective categories. In the Expert final Patrick Hofer brought home the win with a 5-seconds merging, making it his fifth win this season. With the win Patrick also secured himself a 4th Swiss Championship title in this category. Over in the Amateur class Noah took the pole position for the A-main after winning the semifinals and he would also take the overall win with a 1-lap margin, taking another step towards the overall championship title.
