A round of the Danish On-road Nationals was recently held at the Hillerod RC Racing club. In the 200mm Nitro class Rasmus B. Nielsen showed some good speed during Saturday’s dry practice. Sunday started out wet but this did not kept the driver from fighting for valuable points in the championship. The final round of the Danish Electric On-Road Nationals was held on the outdoor asphalt track in Odense, the city famous for HC Andersen and the DHI-Cup. The battle for the Danish Touring Car SuperStock Championship was wide open going into the final round as four drivers could take the title. The 4th round of the Danish Nitro On-road Nationals was held in Naestved, Zealand, around 100 kilometres from Copenhagen. During Saturday’s qualifying local hero Martin NO. Hansen was flying round his home track and Ramus B. Nielsen did the best he could to follow but he made some mistakes and went off of the track. Another fast guy, Claus Ryeskov, stayed concentrated and was able to grab the 2 spot after qualifying while Rasmus made it to third in the 1/10th 200mm class. Qualification result: 1. Round four of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the ENB-RC track in Holstebro on a technical dirt track. In the Nitro Truggy class Mike Gosvig took the overall TQ after winning the third and fourth qualifying round. Rain before the finals and even at the start of the main made for a muddy track that saw Mike starting from the pole position and building a gap on the field within the first couple of minutes. The opening round of the Danish Electric On-road Nationals was held at Glostrup Racing Club in changing weather conditions. The day started out with rain but it cleared up during the day. In the Formula class Christian Lehm secured the pole position for the finals and he would stay in front after the mains also to take the day’s win in front of Johnni Lyng and Tommy Jensen. The first round of the DRCMU Danish National Series was held at the RC Kongen hobby shop. Jonas Kaerup and Jesper Rasmussen set the early race pace. A hot and sunny race day on the large carpet track provided great conditions for all the drivers. It was a fantastic day to kickstart the outdoor summer racing and the start of the Danish Nationals. The second round of the Danish 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Hillerod RC Club, around an hour drive away from Copenhagen. The track is a high-speed track with some tricky sections like astroturf jumps, a lot of camber corners, and a big Neo-style jump in the middle of the track, also covered in astroturf. The weekend started out on Saturday with the E-Buggy and Nitro Truggy classes and in E-Buggy it was Mike Gosvig who TQ’d three of the four qualifiers to take the overall TQ from Magnus Frandsen and Jan D. The first round of the Danish 1/8th Off-Road nationals attracted a total of around 90 drivers from Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Norway to compete in Nitro Buggy, Nitro Truggy and Electric Buggy classes. The track layout was very challenging and fun to race with a combination of a very big jump and difficult landing section on the straight, an “American wupti section” and some tight and flowing corners and sweepers. In Nitro Buggy it was the Xray duo of Mike Gosvig and Peter Harder who were fighting hard throughout all qualification rounds. Mike won the first round with 0.2 seconds…
