Marcel Elissen wins at Tonisport Onroad Series Rd6

Round 6 of the Tonisport Onroad Series was held at the MAC-Meckenheim Club in Germany. In the Formula class it was Marcel Elissen who dominated the qualifying and the finals to take home the win in front of Sascha Braun on the runner-up spot. Marcel Facius would complete the podium result in 3rd.

Heiko Peglow wins at 3-Länder-Cup

The MCSC Wächtersbach club near Frankfurt, German recently held the grand opening race of the newly-established 3-Länder-Cup series. In the electric GT8 class Mugen driver Heiko Peglow walked away with the win in front of fellow Mugen racer, Jörg Wegmann. HoBao driver Jens Förster secured himself the final podium spot in 3rd.

RPM Zoomies mock exhaust headers

Coming from RPM are the Zoomies mock exhaust headers. They resemble the massive exhaust headers seen on many 1970’s full-scale cars with the RPM variant fitting a range of 1/18th to 1/10th scale vehicles and body shells. Their multi-piece design allows to mount them upwards, tilted backwards or even downwards and they come in a black or chrome variant. Screw mounting holes makes for secure installation on running vehicles while for display body shells mounting using double sides tape is also possible. The mock exhausts are ideal for VTA cars, monster trucks and many other applications.

Power HD sign Dominic Quek

Power HD have announced the signing of Singapore’s Dominic Quek to their team. The 15-years old scored podium finishes at the 2017 Reedy International Touring Car Race of Champions and also at the 2016 Asian Onroad Championships in Hong Kong and he is a regular A-main finalist in regional events. The reigning Singapore Electric Touring Cars National Champion had the following to say about the deal:

I am honored to join Power HD’s racing team and to feature their line of performance servos in my cars as I compete across the region. I am confident that Power HD’s products will help me to achieve my goals in my racing career.

Axon matte finish alloy screws & Core MV ball diff grease

Coming from Axon are new matte finish aluminium screws as well as a medium viscosity ball differential grease. Starting with the fasteners, the aluminium bolts are made from aircraft-grade material and their matte surface will grip better into the carbon fibre material of chassis, top decks and shock towers which will lead to a more natural flex of all parts compared to using polished-finish screws. The 3mm button head screws are available in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm specification while the flat head variant comes in 6mm and 8mm length. All are available as 4-piece or 10-piece packs.

Arrowmax 6000mAh 2S LiHV shorty battery pack

Arrowmax have expanded their range of high-voltage Lithium-Polymer batteries by a 6000mAh 2S shorty variant. Measuring 96x47x25.1mm the pack makes use of 4mm bullet-type connectors and it is built from high-performance 55C/110C LiHV cells. It can be safely charged up to 4.35V per cell but it can also be used in sanctioned racing and with a 4.2V per cell charge cut-off.

Coming from Randy Caster’s 1up Racing brand is the all-new Premium pit mat. With its unique circle pattern and parts trays debossed right into the surface, the mat has looks with functionality to match. Only 3mm thick, the mat rolls up tight taking up less space in the bag and it is made from an ultra dense rubber/pvc material for extremely long life. The pit mat measures 121x61cm and it can easily be cut to fit smaller pit spaces.

Clements wins CTS2 finals as Hohwart takes title

The finals for CTS2 was again held at Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, California. Some of the biggest names in the Touring Car world came to attend this series like Paul Lemieux, JJ Wang, Drew Ellis and David Jun. In practice and qualifying, Team Xray driver JJ Wang showed a dominant pace even with his first ever visit to SWR. But with some bad luck, he was unable to finish both qualifiers. Xray driver Paul Lemieux qualified 6th behind EJ Evans in 5th while Team Associated driver David Jun qualified 4th. Series points leader Rick Hohwart (Team Associated) qualified top 3 behind local favourite, Awesomatix driver Brandon Clements and 2nd qualifier, Yokomo driver Eric Albano with the top 5 guys being all within one second apart.
