Pro-Line Sling Shot 4.3” Pro-Loc sand tyres

Made for Traxxas’ X-Maxx 1/8th scale truck are Pro-Line’s new Sling Shot 4-3” Pro-Loc sand tyres. These tires have been developed from the ground up for extreme X-Maxx punishment with an all-new ultra-durable compound that prevents tire ballooning even at high speeds. The tyre features Pro-Line’s proprietary Pro-Loc technology that creates an ultra-secure bond to the company’s Impulse Pro-Loc X-Maxx wheels while still being removable when required. The reinforced tyre bead fits into a uniquely shaped channel on the wheel and the bead-loc screws actually pass through the tyre rubber before being pinched by the outer bead-loc ring to create the maximum possible mounting security.

Axial SCX10 complete transmission set

Axial’s SCX10 transmission received a design makeover with special attention paid towards aesthetics by mimicking a real transmission with a bell housing, oil pan and a 4×4 transfer case. By sitting the transfer case lower into the chassis and centering the driveshafts with the axle input housings, the designers have created a more efficient driveline with better driveshaft angles which puts less stress on moving parts. Better driveshaft angles coupled with hi-pinion axles IS scale realism backed with performance. Also includes full set of ball bearings and all metal internal gears for strength and durability.

2017 Keilor Cup & Victorian Drivers Series Rd4 – Report

The fourth and final round of the Victorian Drivers Series was held at the Keilor Track in Melbourne. Over 130 entries were received for the event, which was re-run two weeks later than planned due to unseasonal summer rain washing out the original date. The Keilor club had prepared a classic outdoor dirt track which grooved up through the weekend but still had a fine dust layer in the hot summer weather, making tyre choice and setup critical to get maximum traction. Racers had travelled from as far away as Broken Hill, Mildura and Adelaide to join in this successful series. The Keilor Cup this year had extra meaning due to the recent passing of life member and long time president Mark Polistena, and many racers carried memorial stickers on their vehicles to honour his memory.
